FOF 2004: Best draft prospect EVER.

This kid is a freakin' monster. Hailing from West Virginia, having graduated from USC (that's the University of South Carolina), Jackie Nakata was rated as the top prospect on the board. The mother of all can't-miss players.

9.0 grade, with a 9.9 adjustment, Nakata was one of the strongest men in the league, with 43 repetitions on the bench press, a 40 time of 4.74 seconds, an agility drill of 7.03 seconds, blue bars completely maxed out, a Solecismic Test score of 35, and a Volatility rating of a whopping 30.he's projected as a 93 overall, with current ratings estimated to be a 68 overall. He's a giant, at 6'6", 282 lbs.

I went to Atlanta, hat in hand, begging for that #1 pick. I tried everything. trading my first four draft picks plus a solid player at a 'need' position, they scoffed at me. Wouldn't even listen. Discouraged, I let 'em pick...and they chose a running back #1 overall.

Chicago had the #2, so I rushed over to try and trade for THAT pick. Three first rounders, a 2nd rounder, and a solid player at a 'need' position for them still wasn't quite enough to pry away the #2.

Again discouraged, I let them pick. They chose a studly DT (who was the #2 rated player in the draft) at the #2 spot. At this point, I'm astonished. I'm also privately wondering why this kid got passed on with the first two picks, but hey, gift horses, right?

I rush to Washington. I offer them three first rounders, plus my 4th string running back, just to see if they're even willing to talk.

They took the offer. I won't have a first rounder for a few years, but with Justin Smith as my defensive ends mentor, if this kid a) signs in time to get into training camp, and b) is as godly as all the signs suggest...pardon me, I think I just had an orgasm of pure joy.

Lemme see if I can upload it somewhere and link to it. For what it's worth, he's holding out prior to training camp. I want to kill him.

Of course he's holding out. He's the number 1 player in the draft and wants to be paid as such.

But he was taken #3 overall! Ha!

For what it's worth, the image is loading in the thread for me. I hope the rest of you can see it.

He's rejected all four offers, actually. The only thing I can figure is because none of the other top six draft choices have signed either, he's waiting for them to get pigeonholed into a slot so he can then ask for more money. I wonder if FOF models this.

That was the first option I offered him. He said no. I had saved before the offer, so I reloaded and tried again (really wanted him in camp), and he rejected all four offers.

So I ran camp, offered him option #4 again, and he took it. This is what he looks like raw, without the benefit of training camp:

dola - it bears noting that I signed Justin Smith in the 2008 preseason, and not only is he still studly (Smith, that is), but he's now a mentor to defensive ends. I hope this works out.

He just had his breakout day in week 7 against Denver with three sacks. His mentor, Justin Smith, did the same thing.

This is gonna be a long season for opposing QBs if the two of them keep that up.

1.5 sacks for Smith in week 8, 2.5 for Nakata. 9 sacks total. Carson Palmer and Marshall Watkins can now share a few beers and tell themselves "Hey, at least we only face him once or twice a year."

Nakata somehow got overlooked for any postseason awards, despite registering 17.5 sacks as a rookie. For those of you playing the home game, that was just 2.5 sacks behind his mentor for the league lead, and in a three-way tie for 2nd place in sacks. No rookie awards, no nothin'. Hopefully it'll put a chip on his shoulder and he'll come back even huger. Here're his ratings after that first season:

I can afford him through the length of his contract. I really don't want to think about what'll happen after that, although I'm starting to see my older NFL guys retire. Warren Sapp just hung 'em up, and I can't imagine Boulware is gonna be too far behind him. It's the stars like that that have me in cap hell at the moment.

I had a similiar prospect, except with a QB and he dropped to the 9th pick. It made me wonder but he still turned out to be absolutely dominating, albeit a little injury prone. His current QB record is approx 69-19 or so

This is my best prospect

Of course it's with the cardinals and not with the pantehrs. But he led the league 4 years in a row with QB ratings.

I just checked my file manager there. the photos are definitely still there. Dunno why they're not viewable for you guys. If I had anything remotely resembling a real host, I'd put 'em up there.

I never get guys like this in my draft. I usually get one guy a year rated over a 7.0.

Do you guys import from the college years or not?

I don't. TCY never held my interest, so I don't play it.
