TV time again: Ghost Adventures!

Had some visitors this week. Going to be back on national TV again! Air date will be this fall on the Travel Channel. Here's a pic of Zak and I hanging out. More pics to come.

Zak posted a tease photo on Twitter with our resident skeleton, 'George'.

In the near future you will know why this actual body in this coffin is used for rituals and for facing ur own mortality

I know absolutely nothing about the show, and my only exposure comes entirely from this thread, but everything about that guy is clearly questionable.

Did look it up and I see there was a bit of an upheaval when one of the hosts said that the travel channel made them fake stuff (like crew members taping their voices as EVPs).

Not sure where that got to but it seems like it was last year from what I read. Maybe it has cleaned up since that came out.

Definitely a bit more dramatic from what I've seen. Though I will say that the guys on camera and off camera are two different people. I thought they were very nice guys. I had a very good connection with Zak. Take it for what it's worth.

I think it's all relative what people consider questionable/not questionable in the case of these shows. I was very straight-forward with the producers when I spoke with them personally and let them know I wanted a solid investigation. They know the rumors that are out there and I felt they did a good job. I know for a fact that no one was in the buildings outside of the four guys doing the investigation, so there were no other cameramen or crew in there to fake evidence.

I actually can say very little about the specifics of the episode by contract. I was there for the interviews and reenactments. I was only security during the investigation, so I sat on a golf cart for seven hours and drank energy drinks. I saw one of the guys come out of the building at one point looking a bit surprised, but couldn't make out what he was saying to the camera.

I had heard of some of that before they came out. I actually called two people (Amy Bruni and Dave Schrader) that I know and trust to ask them about the show before accepting GA's offer to come to our winery. Both of them said that they were fine and that they'd do a good job on the investigation and how they portrayed the winery, which were my main concerns.

FWIW.....I've turned down four other national TV shows for various problems with legitimacy. I've tried to be very selective about who we allow at the winery.

Wait, are there any hosts that aren't questionable?

Not yet. Season begins August 15th and runs for 13 episodes. So it will be sometime in those three months. Not that far away.

Haven't released this publicly yet, but just got word that the winery episode is tentatively set for October 17th, 2015. That's a fantastic sign that the episode turned out very well. They save the best episodes for the 2-3 weeks before Halloween. VERY excited about this development.

In case anyone is interested, I did a one hour interview on Darkness Radio tonight (www.darknessradio.com). The archived podcast should be up later tomorrow night if you want to hear our chat. It's on iTunes as well.

I do not watch ghost shows, so not sure this is the same one. But if it is sad news looks like real life got the better of two of them:

Reno 'Ghost Adventures' couple found dead

After what happened today, will the unaired episodes ever see the light of day?

Crazy story. Looks like a murder/murder/suicide. Doubt they air anything with those two in it again.

The people involved were just occasional contributors on a few cases. They're not the main focus of the show. All shows will be aired as scheduled. The crew is actually on the road right now taping shows for next season.

dola

As far as the two people involved in the murder/suicide, it's a crazy situation. The lady that was killed by her husband had also previously been arrested for threatening her husband with a gun. Both of them were very unstable to say the least. It's a terrible shame that they couldn't get further away from each other. They obviously had a very toxic relationship.

Awesome.. I guess that's you in the opening of the video?

If they ever come back, I need to see if I can take my daughter there to meet with the GA team.. she totally loves the show.

Thought the show was a lot of fun. Crowd at the watch party had some good laughs at some of the segments. Definitely the best evidence was the child singing in the upstairs classroom with no one on that floor.

That was a good episode.. those guys are nuts though. Never ever would I go into one of those places at night all by myself.. probably not even during the day.
