I'm a slight Cam-disliker. Does that count?
I will say that he is a hell of a quarterback at this point. When he was drafted, I was sure he'd be another JaMarcus Russell. I was way wrong. I do like how he gives kids the ball after scoring. Last edited by Kodos : 01-21-2016 at 12:10 PM. |

It is refreshing to have two teams that haven't won on the NFC side.

Nah, I don't see much Cam hate around these parts. On the other hand, I watched the Panthers-Packers game at a hole in the wall bar in small town Wisconsin. Some of the vile, racist things I heard that day makes me want those people to eat it. |

Being a Cowboys fan this year and not much to root for, Cam was easily my must see QB on a week to week basis. |

He can hurt you so many ways.
It feels somewhat inevitable that the Panthers are going to win it all this year. |

In that order.

I have no ties with either of these teams, any of the four possible matchup would sound like it could be an awesome game of football.

Is Cam Newton hatred more of a Southern thing? (due to SEC, bag of cash, etc.) Never heard of it around here and don't personally know anyone with a real strong opinion on Carolina good or bad. Like Arizona most just think they are a great football team.

Denver due to Manning.
If not that then whatever NFC team faces the evil empire, basically by default.

well no doubt my beloved Cardinals, but I'm also a fan of Carolina, since I've lived in the Carolina "market" since their creation, and get a bunch of Carolina news here. I really, REALLY, hope Denver beats the Patriots, so I don't have to live through another potential NE Super Bowl.

New England. That way I can say my team is shitty because it is constantly sharing its division with the best team in football.

Voted for Denver...because I've been cheering for Manning since the Colts drafted him, and I'd like to see him conjure some old magic for a couple of games and retire.
That said, I'd be perfectly happy with the Cards or Carolina. I like Newton's personality and wouldn't mind seeing him on my cereal box for awhile. Palmer and Fitzgerald have reached that point where they just deserve a ring. I don't particularly dislike the Pats...just, you know, they've had their share. It's the same reasoning I applied with the last Red Sox ring. I mean, I love my Red Sox, but by the third one in a decade, I felt a little guilty about it. Not that I'd give it back or anything. |

I'm a Cam fan. I hope he wins it all. He's good for the NFL when so many things are bad in the NFL. He's a good dude. Hams it up a bit, but who really cares?

1. Anyone but New England
2. Carolina: i live in NC, so I have to. 3. Denver: I would like to see Manning do it with 2 teams and vindicate some past playoff choke-jobs. 4. Arizona: They are a team that isn't New England. |

I'm still surprised that so many were calling for Manning's head last year and said he was done/washed up and yet....here he is in the Championship weeks....again.

I love how disrespected the panthers were last year and this one. i hope they trounce everyone.
For the years in which my Jaguars have been in the NFL Abyss I took on a habit of rooting for the other kitty-cat teams until mine reclaimed it's status as pertinent. Teams like the Panthers and Lions.

I like Carolina. And I'd love to see Fitz win a Super Bowl.
I like Manning well enough, but both the Broncos and Manning have at least one SB win. And I have nothing against New England, but they've won so much anyway that I have no reason to root for another. So, basically, I hope that the NFC wins the Super Bowl. |

Since I have no horse in this race (and the Eagles blow), either Arizona or New England, I guess. Carolina would be a nice story, especially with all the Philly roots down there...but I genuinely like Arizona and how they go about business.
My reasoning for the Pats is simple, and the same reason Tony Kornheiser wants them to win: Watching Roger Goddell hand Tom Brady the trophy would be surreal and wonderful. The NFL is so screwed up, and this is truly the best outcome for this season, from a storyline standpoint. I guess living in New England for eight years, and genuinely liking many players on their team helps...but really, that storyline would be perfect. |

Denver, to see Peyton have a chance to ride off into the sunset on top. Second would be Carolina. Third choice would be the NFL cancel the Super Bowl this season.

I can't help but visualize Tom Brady doing what Lance Armstrong did a couple of years ago: finally retired, he goes one-on-one with Oprah, where he explains to her what [the Patriots] had to do to win 7 [Super Bowls], and elaborates on how messed up [the NFL] actually is...

Rooting for the Panthers because of all the ridiculous hate I see for Cam online (not here). Fun team to watch, too.

Wow I can't remember the last time a team (Denver) WS getting zero chance of winning from all the talking heads on TV. This is all especially funny as NE fans I have talked to feel they are the underdog and everyone is against them pick wise!?

The Patriots have kind of a tortured history against the Broncos and in Denver in particular. And the Bronocs are the only team that has a winning record against Brady. There's enough negative memories there to keep from feeling really confident regardless of how things look on paper. |
