Memo to Ben: If you can't handle ordinary jalapenos, stay away from ghost and bhut peppers. Just sayin'

Nothing to report at this point. My colon might have gone into self-preservation mode to delay the inevitable as long as possible.

I just got a kick out of the fact that cartman was pretty much the person giving me the hardest time in that thread, and the person who posted the most in it. It may have taken 8+ years, but what comes around, goes around, I suppose.

Oh boy. It took 36 hours, but now the second phase is kicking in. This is not going to be a pleasant afternoon.

It is Sunday so it's time for a religious experience with the porcelain gods.

That's awesome.

I can't believe that I have never seen it before.

I am awful with anything with more than a moderate amount of heat, but had a tiny taste of that ghost sauce once. It felt like it literally ripped the skin out of my throat for about 90 minutes. I can't imagine anyone eating any volume of it.

A ghost pepper vodka. I'm strangely interested in acquiring this.

The Vodka So Dangerous You Should Never Drink It Straight

Just for our collective amusement.

So, you'd have thought I learned my lesson. I went to a hot sauce festival up in DFW this weekend called Zest Fest. Sampled something called 'Flash Bang'. Got 1/4 teaspoon of it. At first it had great flavor. Then about a minute later came the great pain. My mouth was burning for about 10-15 minutes, so I guess I'm getting more tolerant of the stuff. Then, about an hour later, it felt like it was trying to dissolve a hole in my stomach. If that is what an ulcer feels like, I hope I never have one. Here is a link to the stuff:

FLASHBANG Hot Sauce

But as bad as that was, I was WAY better off than the guy that ate an entire Carolina Reaper pepper. He quickly regretted making that poor life decision.
