As a Saints fan, the fact that the Falcons have not won a Super Bowl is my biggest argument-winning chip against them. If the Falcons win, it changes everything.

Go Pats!

The Falcons were my first team way back in the 80s during the Steve Bartkowski-William Andrews-Billy Johnson era. Would love to see them finally get over the top.

Pats. I've been tuning out most media build up to this. The few times it sneaks through it doesn't seem people are giving the Falcons much of a chance?

Is this an accurate picture of the perceptions out there or am I just getting it through a New England filter? I don't understand how Atlanta can be dismisssed with this run they are on. I'm certainly not feeling comfortable.

Most of the vibe I'm getting from folks is that it could go either way with maybe a very slight lean toward the Pats.

As a Dolphins fan living in Atlanta, I have reasons to root against the Patriots and for the Falcons, although admittedly the former is a much bigger pull.

Predictions I've seen also have New England mostly, but in a close game. Expectation is for a very high-scoring game, possibly the highest-scoring in Super Bowl history, but Falcons defense esp. young secondary against Brady + Belichik in a close game is not getting much support. Consensus seems to be their best chance is to get up big early and not let it come down to that.

I honestly don't know what to think. Seems to that the offensive juggernaut very rarely does well in these offense vs. defense matchups though. I think the Falcons have a chance, but I'm unable to talk myself into thinking they'll actually win.

Only the Giants are allowed to beat the (Belichick-era) Patriots in the Super Bowl.

I don't care who wins at all, just want to see Atlanta win one since they haven't yet, and they're an incredibly likable team. I think the Patriots win 30-23 and it is tied at 16 going into the 4th quarter.

Bart, Andrews, Cain, Jackson, Jenkins. That team (along with the Hershel Walker Bulldogs) really made me a sports fan, and football most especially. I have suffered through so many bad years, with only a couple of "oh, so close" years. I want this one so bad.

I have far from heard people giving the Falcons no chance. Given, the local guys here are pretty high on the Falcons, but even nationally I have been surprised that a number of pundits have the Falcons winning. The fact that the spread stayed at 3 says that this is a close match up. I think it is fair to say the Pats have the advantage, but this is no way a slam dunk game. I can see this as going any different way, from a Pats blow-out to a Falcons blow-out, and anything in-between. I think if the Falcons get up more than two scores early, it'll be a close game. If that Pats get up two scores early, then the Pats will walk away. A close game entering the second half, then it is anybodies ball game.
