I think one might even be inclined towards a pre-throught surgery Elton John Rushmore and a post-surgery one

Can You Feel The Love Tonight
Rocket Man
Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me
Tiny Dancer

This is basically impossible. There are about 6 more deserving as well. The first two are no brainers for me, the rest are pretty much all tossups.

Edit:
And it's hard to leave out others like
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Tiny Dancer
Daniel
Bennie and the Jets
Can you feel the Love Tonight?
Crocodile Rock
I Guess that's why They Call it the Blues
Philadelphia Freedom

Damn the list goes on and on!

The three that stand out to me are Tiny Dancers, Candle in the Wind and I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues.

I haven't decided what the fourth would be.

I decided it would be either Rocket Man or Your Song, depending on how I am feeling on any given day.

I slightly lean toward Rocket Man of those two.

Your Song
Tiny Dancer
Candle in the Wind
Funeral For a Friend / Love Lies Bleeding (personal selection, probably not worthy of Rushmore)

I feel like Tiny Dancer and Candle in the Wind are going to find traction on more lists than most, and the other two slots could easily be any number of songs - Levon, Bennie and the Jets, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Rocket Man, Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me, etc.

I decided to YouTube that one as I couldn't remember it off of the top of my head. That got me to the video. Of course I remember the song now. And that video is so ridiculously 80s, it's crazy.

The first two lists after mine including Funeral For a Friend certainly makes me feel less homer-ish with that one

Don't let the sun go down on me
Indian Sunset
Candle in the wind

indian sunset is really a personal favorite that I wouldn't expect to see on anyone else's list.

I wonder how many lists Candle in the Wind would have been on without the resurgence after princess Di's funeral. I was so happy that such a great song had been re-discovered after so long. I say re-discovered because I felt like it had gone unappreciated for years. But I've never really been sure that it was actually obscure or if that was just my misconception.

I enjoyed it prior to Princess Di. It Is easily my favorite song of his from the time I was unaware of him in the early 80's.

Last night, I was with a group at a karaoke bar, and a friend did "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues," and it basically brought down the house. Setup was perfect (crowd wasn't too young, it wasn't a heavy-dance crowd) and he killed it. Fun stuff. Hats off to Bernie Taupin.

Elton John played our local arena last night and I read that he opened up with Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding.

When he played the concert a couple of years ago in Austin after Formula 1, he kicked it off with "The Bitch is Back".
