And at least two of those would be narrow run things at best.

Well THAT part doesn't surprise me.

There are a lot of bands in this round that are considered classics, that admittedly have a couple good songs, but I could do without ever hearing them again. Perhaps solo John Lennon typifies this better than anyone. I could rattle off a dozen solo Lennon singles, but I don't actually want to listen to any of them ever again. Double that for fucking Foreigner, and I'd willingly sacrifice Joe Walsh's good songs in order to never hear "Life's Been Good" (or it's many imitations). If I had to suffer through Phil Collins or Mellencamp on anything close to a regular basis I'd toss them on the pile too, without hesitation.

Yeah...Lennon's solo songs are kinda halfass at times. Mccartney's too really. I think only Harrison truly shined as a solo artist. I like the guys of Foreigner....Mick Jones and Lou Gramm. Great rockers. But their songs are so dripping with 80s. And I've heard them way too much. And things like "I wanna know what love is"...well let's not speak of that.

I seriously cannot hear mellencamp again. Most of his stuff sounds the same, especially his "farm" stuff. His later stuff was kinda pretentious all the time. I don't mind jack and diane I guess. His early stuff like I Need a Lover was great. Probably the only thing I really like by him anymore.

Collins went down that soul and light R&B rabbit hole of yuk. His first couple solos were great. In the air tonight is still fantastic. Had a couple great ones on "Hello I Must Be Going". My favorite of his was

although this one is still fun. and so appropriate to crank occasionally

No jacket Required had some good stuff. (Don't Lose That Number, Take Me Home)

Collins definitely takes it over mellencamp. Cougarcamp's stuff just is so blah other than his early work.
