Team Dilemma

I've been the GM of the Cleveland Browns from 2017-2024. We have the 5th best record in that time frame, 72-55-1 with 4 playoff appearances and one Super Bowl Championship.

We just lost in the Divisional Final to the California Chargers, a team who has been the worst team in the league since 2017 but have finally started to put it together.

I have many job offers but two really interest me. One is with the worst team in 2024, Seattle. They have the 2025 second pick and are tied for the 2nd worst record during 2017-2024 with Green Bay. Seattle has been to one playoff in 2018 and lost in the Wild Card to the Bears.

The other team ironically, is Green Bay who has been just as bad as Seattle (48.78-2) but unlike Seattle they have never been to a playoff. They did go (8-8) last year so they have something like the 20th pick.

I have made some really good late picks with Cleveland, so they are in good shape for 2025 and I'm sure another playoff appearance.

My dilemma... do I stay in Cleveland and try for that 2nd Super Bowl Championship or do I head to Seattle and try to build with a franchise QB like I did in Cleveland or do I go somewhere that would be a dream job and head to Green Bay?

What do you solo players do in your careers? Stay with one team forever, move around from team to team or wait for that dream job and pack up once you get the offer?

I usually only move on once I've finished a good run or have a HOF type player finish his career. I like to at least try and build a legacy.

Good point. I drafted QB Trevor Lake first overall in 2018 and thought about riding out his career. He had the best QBR this year and just hit his peak. Not only can he pass, he can also run.
