RIP Nick Buoniconti 1940-2019

The co-founder of the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis and the Buoniconti Fund has passed away. He was not perfect. That stint as the president of U.S. Tobacco was regrettable. However, his role in trying to find a cure for paralysis providing assistance to those that suffered from spinal cord injuries and just raising awareness about both was definitely a big part of my high school memories.

Oh... he also played a bit of football.

Old School Inside the NFL on HBO was the absolute best.

As did I. Was a sad day when the Dawson/Buoniconti team no longer helmed the show.

And I had no idea he was only 5'11".
