Like every other group, plenty of idiots become police officers. Especially now that standards keep getting lowered more and more.

I imagine alcohol played a role in some way. I knew a guy in the military who died in a similiar idiotic event.

I read the CNN article. I can't believe 2 police officers would do what the article says they did. I guess anything is possible, but it makes no sense.

Story is getting weirder. Sounds like the police department obstructed justice to protect the cops. One of the cops has a huge black eye in his booking photo.
The two male cops were on duty at their own house instead of patrolling. She went over at 1am without her husband. Makes me wonder if this was a lovers spat which makes a lot more sense than playing Russian Roulette. https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/30/us/st...ing/index.html |

Nightly news showed cam footage from one of the cops on the scene. One cop told the other "nice shot." edit: another article with footage - https://abc7.com/video-shows-deadly-...ficer/5640988/

The most heartbreaking part of a heartbreaking story for me. Quote:

My guess is he was trying to get a resolution behind closed doors and got nowhere.

Sad story. Glad it didn't turn out even worse. Those cops should get their asses handed to them.

Reform Police Training — Why It’s a Conservative Cause
Good to see this in a conservative publication. Overly aggressive police are a threat to liberty.

That's really interesting, and yep great to see on the National Review site especially. I wonder how quoting the ACLU and using some of their arguments and complaints goes over among conservatives? |
