No, you always get one gift, which you are then told cost 'twice as much' or something such as that, even though they are usually lying through their teeth, and most likely forgot about your birthday altogether until somebody else brought it up.

Don't forget the aunts and uncles who would give you a gift that was "for your birthday AND Christmas," while giving your little brother something smaller than what you got for Christmas. However, the "for-your-birthday-and-Christmas" gift was the exact same gift your brother got for his birthday back in September. Net effect: little bro gets one good gift AND one small gift per year, while you get one good gift.

Not that I'm bitter either...
