I think about our veterans often, not just today. I think about the rights we have today and what the world be like if they had not been there to defend them all these years. A simple thank you is never enough, but often needed. So for all those in my family who have and currently serve, and the ones in your family who have:

1988-2002 Air Force I got “lucky” I spent all 11 of those 12 years overseas including Desert Storm/ Shield, Bosnia war Operation Deliberate Force and Op Enduring Freedom. I have the minor physical and mental scars to show it :-)

I was in the navy from 85-91, aboard the USS Alabama for four of those years. Yes, the boat of "Crimson Tide" fame.

1995 to 1999 Air Force for me. Planned to make it a career and retire, but what I learned was too valuable as a civilian.

My wife is also an Air Force veteran.

Air Force here too. 90-95. Was going to do 20 but was offered a civilian job too good to pass up.
