Password Keeper App?

What's your preferred password keeper app? Anyone have one they particularly like?

+1 for Keepass. I keep my kdb file in Dropbox and then it syncs up between all my computers and my phone.

I use LastPass on my laptop. Works great. No experience with Keepass, though.

I use KeePass on my PC. Haven't tried it on my phone, though I will soon. Using Dropbox or Google Drive for the kdb is a great idea.

I've used LastPass for many years. It's great. Works on everything.

Putting all your passwords in the cloud does not sound like a great idea to me...

For Keepass at least the files are encrypted. So to get at my passwords someone has to hack my dropbox account and then further hack the keepass encryption. If they are at that level they could probably just hack any of my other accounts anyways.

I've moved on from KeePass and now am using BitWarden. Syncs across all devices.

I use LastPass. Everything is encrypted before it leaves your device.

Enterprise Security Model | LastPass

Quote:
End-point encryption

Encryption happens exclusively at the device level before syncing to LastPass for safe storage, so only users can decrypt their data.

256-bit AES encryption

This algorithm is widely accepted as impenetrable – it’s the same encryption type utilized by banks and the military.

Another vote here for LastPass. I've been using it for about 4 years and it has work really well on every device. Windows 10 laptop, Samsung tablet, Samsung phone.

I've used LastPass for several years and have been happy with it, although it was recently discovered to have trackers in it. If you're starting fresh, this article might help point you in a good direction.

fun when an old thread gets bot-bumped and we just keep it going after the bot-post has been deleted...

anyway, i guess i might need to re-look at LastPass, which has served me awfully well for a long time
