So... I booked a week in the Lake District back in January, didn't realise it was Father's Day this weekend at the time! I'm currently sat in a pub drinking a lovely Cumbrian IPA, while the rest of my family have deferred Father's Day until next weekend! Chin Chin!

Hope everyone has a great day. We went to a lovely dinner last night with my parents and my in laws. Toady we are going with the kids to a local brewery for lunch and some Uno/games. Then going to chill the afternoon, maybe take a dip in the pool.

Happy Father's Day FOFC!

The 13 year old played in his district baseball championship today. 2 hits, a couple of RBI, a scoreless final inning on the mound later, and the title was won. Watching the kids celebrate and get their medals and yeah my father's day is pretty much complete.

Happy Father's Day, Dads.

I wonder how many Dads on FOFC weren't when they joined.

I was not (had 3, lost 1). Oldest is 19 and in Vocational School, youngest just finished 3rd grade.

I couldn't even take care of myself let alone a kid when I joined FOFC.

Happy Father's Day guys. I was young, but I was already a father all those years ago.

I did have a pretty chill day, and my kids did a bunch of stuff for me that I would typically have done. Nothing major, but it was helpful all the same.

I was already a dad, by a year.

As I've now got one who is drinking age and another who will be legal by next father's day, I'm reminded of the Jim Jeffries bit about father's day - best present you can give me is to leave my bank account alone for 24 hours, and my most cherished gifts are the ones they made when they were like 5 that I didn't pay a cent for. Ha!
