TCY: Devaneyfan's old studies/time management tips?

Yeah, I'm getting ready to try out the new time management overview thing in TCY, and I wanna actually give enough time so my players can KEEP their girlfriends!!! I wonder if this is why my teams have not won a title in 11 years So I'm looking for devaneyfan's old stuff or any other tips people have on time management. I fear going with the defaults (but they're a good start). Any info would be appreciated

Just off the top of my head (at home for break...my comp back at School has all my info on it) -

QBs - 15 Weight training early (first few years), then max out film study.

Relaxation - 18 w/o GF, 25 (23?) w/ GF.

If I can come up with any more, I'll list them...otherwise, I get back to school on Sunday night, and I'll post you the numbers he came up with.

I wish I could remember who put this together to give them proper credit, but I've use this with very good results:

practice:
0 practice = 1-10
10 practice = 3-8
20 practice = 7-5
40 practice = 7-5
Weight & Film (respectively):
QB 10+, 25+
RB 11-13, 19-21
FB 18-22, 11-13
TE 18-22, 13-15
WR 11-13, 21-23
C 25+, 12+
G 26+, 11+
T 27+, 11+
P 14-16, 14-16
K 14-15, 18-23
DE 21-23, 12-14
DT 22-24, 11-13
ILB 19-21, 14-15
OLB 17-19, 16-18
CB 12-14, 19-21
S 14-16, 17-19
Redshirt: Film first year, More weight later on
Relaxation:
27 w/ girlfriend
19 w/o girlfriend
Study hall (first numbers are aspiration + intelligence,
second numbers are study hall percent)
200 - 8
190 - 9
180 - 9
170 - 10
160 - 11
150 - 12
140 - 13
130 - 15
120 - 16
110 - 18
100 - 19
90 - 20
80 - 21
70 - 22
60 - 23
50 - 24
40 - 25
30 - 26
20 - 27
10 - 28
0 - 30

I think the first set of figures is the number of penalties per game you can expect with the indicated practice time. there is a glitch and that was acknowledged. I generally use PT of 21.

The important thing is to use film, not weight, for red-shirted linemen, TEs and LBs. Switch to weight room when they are on the active roster.

The study times usually produce a 2.0 cum, but real dummies need targeted blocks from the get go.

I also disagree on the relaxation. I go 26 with girlfriend, 20 without, and get only about 3 malcontents per season.

Hope that helps

OldGiants,

Agree on the 26 with a girlfriend. I've never had a breakup with a 25-27.

I remember a theory that said to max the weight room for RS freshman and that you would thus maximize their potential. This is the first time I've seen to use film over weight. How does this work for you?

the film is working great. I've had a slew of first round draft picks develop with this formula. Far more red line development in the RS year than I used to get with weight room.

Basically, I try to be 28 WR and 12 film for all linemen not RSing. I make that 28 film and 12 WR for RS frosh, and its been a breeze developing OLs and DLs. Most seasons I import 2-3 1st rounders from the lines of my Nebraska team.
