Just curious about what percentage of FOFC denizens own crypto assets. Anonymous poll to come.

One could easily guess from my posts on the topic that I don't own crypto.

I try to follow it with a morbid curiosity but in the end I think it's a decentralized ponzi scheme and I don't want to be the bagholder.

Yeah, I certainly have no reason to think that I would be one of the crypto winners. I'd end up being a crypto lemming in all likelihood.

Should be an option that says "no, but plan to within x months". That's me

Once I invent my time machine I'll go back to 2010 or whatever and buy/mine a lot of Bitcoin but until then I prefer to do my gambling elsewhere.

Is a random Winnipeg Jets NFT that I bought foolishly thinking it might be neat but instead found it to be a totally stupid piece of crap considered a 'crypto asset' or are we talking about actually owning things we consider investments?

I voted no, but I do have ~$3.00 worth of "Wrapped LUNA token" that I bought for $50.00 when LUNA was crashing, thinking that there'd be a dead cat bounce and I'd sell the next day for $100.

Turns out that it was more of a WKRP Turkey Drop than a Dead Cat Bounce.

I'm voting no since the poll (which wasn't there when I commented) calls out 'crypto currency' specifically.

The problem with crypto is people buy it without the prerequisite 50 hours+ to gain a simple understanding of the space and wonder why they lose money. Outside of the covid black swan Bitcoin has been entirely predictable for years. I have likely spent over 1000 hours researching the space, now it is far easier for me to make money in Bitcoin. 99% of projects are a scam. Sadly most retail jump in to those projects.

You will see in the Bitcoin thread I was telling anyone who would listen last Christmas was the time to buy.
