For whatever reason, I remembered his last post today and did a little searching online. It looks like Doug died a couple of years ago after a heart attack. Rest in Peace, man.

Man, that sucks. I don't know how his health was between his last post and his death, but I'm glad to see he lived another 8 years considering he obviously thought he might not make it back in 2013.

Reading his obit, sounds like he did a lot of good for a lot of people. That's a damn good way to have lived a life IMO. RIP.

yeah, not to be maudilin, but I always wondered if people here would wonder about me if I wasn't here any more. With my health and mental health issues, it's been.. challenging.

I hope he's at rest, and knows somewhere in the great beyond that he made life better for others.
