We won’t live our lives afraid of these pricks. It’s an upper middle class area so I’m not worried about some dumb redneck looking for a target. I just told him be careful what he says, where he says it, and who he says it around. He’s a smart kid and will be fine. He’s never had an issue here. A group held a prayer gathering for Charlie Kirk at the local park my wife goes to in the evenings. I asked her how many of the people that attended were white males and she said half, the other half was made up of the wives and kids they brought along. A few of them came with guns of course.

I remembered waking up this morning that I have to go to a big realtor function today and I decided I’m not going. Not out of fear but to avoid the incalculable amounts of conversations that will be centered around this tragedy and the implications and consequences from it. I will have slight fear of not dating the “right” thing and causing some sort of unknown damage that might come back to haunt me later.

October 13 I get myself and the family our Austrian passports. I’m moving some money outside of the country and laying plans to have one foot in both places, here and outside of the USA just in case this becomes the rallying cry for the next stage of fascism to begin. It’s a literal playbook.

Have they said if they've interviewed the guy who asked the question before the shot came out? The timing just seems almost too perfect. Ialso have a feeling they'll try to turn Kirk into the white MLK. In fact, he pretty much wrote the playbook on his legacy:

Can someone give me the background on those two and why fans of one or the other would want to kill them? Both are white supremacists who seem to share many of the same beliefs. I guess the Fuentes guy is more overt and likely the reason he's not mainstream like Kirk. But there has to be more to the feud, right?

Also kind of weird that both are from the Chicago suburbs.

The shooter being a member of the Nick Fuentes wing has been something that I thought about as soon as I heard someone say something to the effect of the shooter blended in well with the rest of the college population. Despite that, to my eye those photos make him he look a bit older than what I had in mind when they said he was of college age.

Fuentes has basically gone scorched earth on the MAGA establishment. It is mostly over the Epstein files where Fuentes wants all of them released while Kirk backed what the administration was doing. Fuentes is absolutely anti Israel (not to be confused with pro Palestine) while Kirk has been pro Israel. There are some others positions but those have been the main two I saw.

Kind of seems like his views were shifting over time as his audience shifted. He was hardcore zionist a couple years ago going so far as to spread the propaganda about beheaded babies and calling children legitimate targets. Then when views on Israel turned negative, he started hedging.

Not to get too conspiratorial, but the reaction from the White House and other politicians seems really over the top. Mixed with their misinformation about the shooter and a couple people after who sure seemed to act like plants to distract. Although the likely answer is law enforcement is incredibly incompetent. Just saying that if information was coming out regularly that I was a pedophile, the economy was tanking, our increasingly unpopular ally was finishing up their final solution and now bombing our other ally, there was a coverup over a medical issue I was having, and approval ratings were in the absolute shitter, this would be a really convenient distraction. My guess is not. If the weapon can't be tied to him and he didn't leave prints I would think ditching it is a better option than getting caught with it on his person in a traffic stop or random encounter.

I am really coming around to this being a foreign actor trying, and likely succeeding, to cause major political tensions.

I also wouldn't put it past some in Trumps orbit to be behind this as a distraction from Epstein. Like RM said, this is awfully convenient for some people/groups.
