There was a planned attack last night. Things were spooled up and Iran had defenses set. Trump waived it off at the last minute. It seems Isreal and the Arab states urged him not to do it. They finally got through to him that Iranian regime would not be toppled that easily, and bombing wouldn't do anything but ratchet up the crack down on the protest. It still likely some kind of move is coming, but maybe something a bit more calculated.

And the strange thing is those two were not even appointed by him. The two most extereme judges where appointed by Bush 1 and 2. While Bush 2 definitely had some heavy leaning Right wing advisors, Bush 1 was pretty moderate. It makes me wonder, was Justice Thomas always as extreme or did he radicalize on the bench?

Carney gave a nice speech but he is also partly responsible for the breakdown of that "rules based order".
