Monitor question
Guys, i'm looking to buy a new CRT monitor. My question is, when looking at the monitor specs, they list a certain Hz spec at certain resolutions (ie.--1600x1200 @ 68Hz). Is it the HIGHER the Hz spec, the better? Or other way around? I do a lot of gaming.....Nascar Racing 2003 Season, various football games, Freedom Force, etc. And, of course, surfing the net as well.
Thanks Todd Edit--The specific model i am initially looking at is the ViewSonic E90f+SB 19" PerfectFlat CRT. Anyone have any recommendations? My budget is about $275. Last edited by Wasabiak : 01-27-2004 at 11:25 PM. |

herz is the number of times per second the screen refreshes. the higher the number is better. the lower the number, the higher the chance you'll see some flickering.
the common thinking is that anything over 60 hz isn't going to be noticed by the human eye, although there are people who say they can see a difference. (I'm not one of them). Viewsonic makes nice monitors - the E series is a more "budget" minded model, but is probably still nice enough for you

Anyone else think that this was a thread about ironclads and Civil War naval design?
