OT: Cordless Telephones
Does anyone actually have a cordless telephone for the home that comes with an answering machine and caller ID? I'm looking and in years I've yet to find one that's any good. Thanks for any inputs.

I have a Panasonic with those features that I bought a year or two ago. It seems to have a tendency to cut out for a few seconds every once in a while, which gets pretty annoying. My wife's college roommate had a similar Panasonic, and they had the same problem. I actually looked in the ads yesterday at a few new phones (AT&T, Uniden?), and have been thinking about replacing ours. I'm not buying another Panasonic though.

I recieved one for Christmas, I think it's a Panasonic. I'll have to check when I get home.
Haven't used the answering machine portion yet because I also recieved an AT&T digital am. I absolutely love it! When someone calls, it shouts out the phone number so I can decide if I want to answer it or not. Todd |

I have a Uniden 2248 (2.4GHz) that has worked flawlessly for 8+ months.

Yep Panasonic, and I've had problems with the battery not charging up all the way.
