I personally would like it if we used AIM. It seems everyone has that, and it is easy to get if you don't have it.

Trillian is a front end to use said programs.. not the program itself.. Aim would be the preferred im of choice for me as well..

Also.. i haven't been able to get into our ezboard for 2 days now.. i do recommend phpbb if we got webspace..

I think MizzouRah in on the webspace thing today. We will see. That would be nice. I am working on a fairly simple website for the league using the DKBL logo I created.

Again, is DKBL ok with everybody?

What for? Real MLB doesn't have them anymore .

Btw, is the homepage of the site going to be the same address as the temp page? If so, I can't get to it.

It's bothering me that people are talking about this website that I can't access. Why is it working for some and not for others?

Never had one problem. Took me a few moments to find out what to do after I logged in, but I found the way to utilize it

What site are you guys having problems with?

There is the temp message board over at EZboard which is a pain in the ass.
There is the temp site that Mizzou created with the player file we will most likely be using on it.
And there is one that I am creating but haven't published any addresses because 1.) I haven't finished it yet and 2.) we need to find some webspace to host it.

I have no problems getting to the site that Mizzou posted, and yes the EZboard is a huge pain in the ass (again Mizzou is working on setting up a new improved one).

mtaystl03 ,

I was talking about Mizzou's temp site also. I was reading in another thread and it seems a few other people are having problems as well.

That one. I can't get onto it. Neither Firefox nor IE can connect with it.

I have no idea what is up with that. I have had zero problems accessing it (although, I haven't tried in a while). Hopefully when I get our actual site up everybody can get to it.

EDIT: Just tried again and it worked just fine. Maybe contact Mizzou if it keeps happening?

Hey - as I said, school is winding down. Had a busy couple of nights - but was checking in periodically, and didn't see anything really pertinent.

I'll be around this weekend to work with MrBug to take care of any issues.

OK, I got the basics done on a website idea for the league. I really hope it is named DKBL because if not I doubt I will have time (with finals coming up) to change everything around.

You can look at the sneak preview here.

I figure we need a pretty normal, nothing special site and that's what this is. Let me know of any thoughts. Hopefully we can get some space and get rid of the hideous banners that angelfire requires.

Holy smokes! Nice layout mtaystl03!!

When you're finished, let me know and I'll get it uploaded. My friends cool with me using some more of his web space.

I can get to this addy: http://tvfl.cobaltice.net/FOFCBL/index.html just fine.

Ragone,
Do you need webspace for phpbb? I've never setup a mesage board before.

That's the one, I can't get to. I always get the error "tvfl.cobaltice.net could not be found."

I'll try from a different ISP tomorrow.

I might have the forum up tomorrow. I'm trying Ikonboard because it's free and I've used one before. My friend wasn't too wanting of a message board on his site, but he said we can have the homepage and team/league pages on his webserver.

I also ditto. That site just simply doesn't work for me. If that's the site we are using for the league, I can't participate, as can't Masked or Jeeber, because we simply can't connect to it.

mtaystl03's site, OTOH, works perfectly.

Primal mentioned some webspace as well... Primal?

http://tvfl.cobaltice.net (my FOF league)
http://tvfl.cobaltice.net/FOFCBL/index.html (temp ootp5 site)

Do any of these work for you guys?

Also, if you click on the two logo files in my sig, do they work? I'll figure out what is going on...

The FOF league and logo links in your sig both work for me, but the OOTP site does not.

I was hoping Primal would have some news on webspace and I have a message left for my friend.

So, in essence... nothing new.

I have ootp6 just sitting there, the install icon on my desktop waiting for me to click it, but alas! I shall not until either my v5 franchise is onto the next year or the league starts up!

I posted this on the other board, but I'll add it in here too.

Will anyone not be able to get V.6 in the next, say, week or two?

If so, let us know, so we can proceed accordingly.

I already have V.6 but are we still planning on waiting for the 1st patch to fix up any of the bugs that have been/will be found before we start simming our league?

I hope so. My friend is redoing his FTP server, so we need Primal's help. Once we get a message board up, we can resume talks. I'm ready.
