I see alot of situations where kickers attempt 57-58 yard FG's in FOF4. I know its possible, butthe rate of them doing it is really high. Then that same kicker who hit from 57 will miss short of the crossbar from 44. Kinda strange.

I get the same thing. Knowing Jim's research habits, it wouldn't surprise me to find out that the success %'s are accurate for long FGs. I think the issue is that they're attempted far too often. It's not rare to see an FOF kicker hit three 50+ FGs in one game.
