Knights of the Old Republic - Polish version
I spotted this game for a fiver at a car boot sale thing. Figured it was a bargain.
Turns out I got the Polish Version (English case - but no manual). Does anyone know how to change the language to english from the in game menus theres NO WAY I'm going to babelfish a RPG.... |

Yeah, I picked up the German version of NHL 2001 years back while in Stuttgart. Figured it must have an option to change the language right? With all the English speaking people in Germany? Nope. Can't imagine the Polish version of Knights of the Old Republic would be any different.
I'd imagine this is probably a way for the publishers to avoid people bootlegging cheap copies of their games from other countries. |

Damn straight you get what you paid for.
Although you can pirate for free. I guess car boot sales are 'better' than pirating but the developers / publishers dont get no dough so probably only in a moral sense. Then again, what good is a polish version of KOTOR to me? |

Perhaps you could figure out which files are the "language" ones and you could switch in the english ones? That'd be assuming someone with the game could help you out.

It would make a mildy amusing 'internet story'

The price of KOTOR has been lowered to 19.99 for both the X-Box and Computer Versions.

Well that not a problem, cause I'd need an English version anyway. |

I've found a site that does imports from the US - its hard these days, most big sites like Amazon wont import games for UK folk.
http://www.videogamesplus.ca Its a canadian site. The good thing about the dollar being so goddammed weak just now (this causes me headaches sometimes because a job i'm doing is paying me in dollars) is that you can purchase and recieve a game before its released in the uk and its still cheaper than it would be if bought from the high street |
