TPB2K5 vs FastBreakBasketball

Hey everyone, I'm pretty much a basketball neophyte, really only got into it this past summer thanks to Replay Basketball.

I've heard alot of good things about these 2 games and was wondering if anyone can compare them and perhaps recommend which one (if either) would be more appropriate/enjoyable for someone in my boat! Is TPB worth the extra $15US ( about $20Can)?

I've downloaded both demos and will try to give em both a shot over the weekend.

Thanks alot for your help

if you love basketball get both

tpb 2005 is pro basketball and FastBreakBasketball is college basketball...

tpb 2005 has a 2d graphic on there play by play, so you can watch the graphic and read the text when viewing or coaching...

i just recently purchase tpb 2005 ...its very solid..

and now i planning to go get FastBreakBasketball which i heard about recently....it seems like a great game, but no 2d graphic...but i hear its the best college basketball sim game to get...

There's also a pro version called fast break basketball. Its a solid game, but I have to say that TPB2005 is the better of the two. FBB was a really good game when it was released but is a bit dated now. There is a new version of FBB in the works though, but I have absolutely no idea on a timetable for release.

To be exact, jbmagic, FBB is the pro version of FBCB. I haven't played it, but from what I understand it is a little bit on the older side. However, I think I remember someone saying that Heavyreign is working on a new version of FBB, so hopefully that will be out sometime soon...

Fast Break College Basketball is newer than Fast Break Basketball (the pro version) and yes, I think most people would agree that FBCB is the best college sim around. It's a great game, you should try the free trial and see for yourself.

No question FBCB is the best college basketball sim and easily one of the top 5 text sims available.

Why is FBCB so good....ive never played it, never really heard of it before, but i love college basketball....I have TDCB, and a great career there where I started at Norfolk St, went to Auburn, where i won a national title, and finally got my dream job at Indiana, where I won my 2nd title......just curious, cuz if its that much better then TDCB, id think about picking it up

looks very solid..seems like the guy that makes it supports the game and comes up with great patches to keep updating and tweaking it..

Best of all its not really a demo, it's a free trial where you can try out the full game for three days. Usually you're hooked by then, as many of us on this board can attest to.

You need to go to the Human - Coaches menu and Add your own coach, once you create a coach you can assign them to any team you want.
