I hope there is a little something more coming back to the Pirates, especially if they are chipping in on Kendall's salary. He is probably my favorite current player (and on my favorite team), so I'll be glad to see him have an opportunity to play on a winning team, but hate to see him go.

I think the Pirates are looking at the financial flexiblity they get by getting 2 smaller salaries. If they want to move Redmond or Rhodes, its a lot easier than moving Kendall. They're probably happy to be getting what they are, considering Kendall's horrid contract.
