King,

You caught my error earlier in the thread. 18 under is correct. If you notice from holes 13-15 and 16-18...I think i have him closing hole 15 at 16 under but starting 16 at 17 under. I wanted to find the earlier error and correct it, but my wife was yelling at me about helping to get ready for Christmas.

Guys I'm out of town...so it will be a while before I can finish the tourney.

Sorry about the lack of instructions for Alan Kelmay - I was out of town all last week and I'll be out of town all of next week too. Agressive for the final round, I thinl.

I think he said until the 31st, so he should be back sometime soonish.

And ouch, I think "Butcher" might have to change his name to Brian "Three-Putt" Babson.

Gentlemen,

I'm back, and I've completed the base scores for the final round. I have to make adjustments based on style of play and attributes. Should be able to post some of the results tomorrow.

Group 1 – holes 1-3

Baxter – (+4)
Wanting to go out with a strong showing after a disappointing 81 in round 3, Baxter starts off with a birdie at number 1, and follows that up with 2 solid pars.(+3)

Fuijita – (- 1)
When your back by 17 strokes it can hardly be considered a charge, but Jimmy was red-hot to start round 4. He Birdies 1, 2 and 3 with excellent ball striking off the tee, and irons from the fairway. (- 4)

Group 1 – holes 4-6

Baxter – (+3)
Picks up another stroke on number 6 by playing conservative and hitting a great 3 rd shot to within 12 feet then sinking the putt.(+2)

Fuijita – (- 4)
A laser sighted iron on 5 leaves him almost a tap in birdie on the par 3. However, the run of 4 birdies on the first 5 holes ends with a 3 putt bogey at 6. (- 4)

Group 2 – holes 1-3

Kelmay – (- 2)
Could have birdied number 1 but missed a makeable 12 footer uphill. Got the birdie at 2.(- 3)

Kappe III – (- 2)
Starts off with 2 pars but manages to birdie number 3. (- 3)

Group 1 – holes 7-9

Baxter – (+2)
Baxter enters the final 3 holes of the front side 2 under, but leaves even par. Bogeys at 8 and 9 drop it back to where he started the day. His inconsistency off the tee kills him on the two tough par 4s. He closes the frontside with a 36. (+4)

Fuijita – (- 4)
Gets the stroke he lost on 6 back on 7 with another great shot into a par 3 green. Frontside score of 33. (- 5)

Group 2 – holes 4-6

Kelmay – (- 3)
Bird - Par – Bird. Almost reached the long par 5 6 th in two, but manages to get up and down.(- 5)

Kappe III – (- 3)
Gives the stroke earned at 3 back on 5 when he failed to get up and down from the fringe. Birdies 6 to stay 1 under for the round.(- 3)

Group 3 – holes 1-3

Babson – (- 5)
The inconsistent Babson imploded in round 3, but starts off 4 with 2 birdies, mostly due to his explosive length.(- 7)

Gonzalez – (- 6)
Nearly birds number 1 when his 11 foot putt lips out, gets bird at 2 and 3. He’s awfully far back but could this be a Mini-charge for extra money?.(- 8)

Smith – (- 6)
His two playing partners go 2 under on the first 3 holes, Smith goes – 1 over with a bad shot off the tee at 3 leaving him no approach to the green.(- 5)

Group 1 – holes 10-12

Baxter – (+4)
Baxter manages to scrape it around on 10 and 11 and salvage par, then on 12 his 4 iron rolls to 16 feet and he makes the putt. (+3)

Fuijita – (- 5)
Par Par Par. (- 5)

Group 2 – holes 7-9

Kelmay – (- 5)
Par Par Par – Front 9 score of 33.(- 5)

Kappe III – (- 3)
Par – Par – Par. Front 9 played 1 under 35.(- 3)

Group 3 – holes 4-6

Babson – (- 7)
Par Par Birdie – again huge drive on the par 5 6 th sets up birdie.(- 8)

Gonzalez – (- 8)
Birds at 4 and 6 really move Gonzalez up the leaderboard.(- 10)

Smith – (- 5)
Par Par EAGLE – An great 3 wood from the fairway hits short of the green and rolls between the two traps and stops moving 14 feet from the cup. Then Smith knocks the putt in the heart.(- 7)

Group 4 – holes 1-3

Kormelink – (- 8)
Par Par Par.(- 8)

Juckett – (- 9)
Birdie and Eagle on the first 2 but gives a stroke back at 3 (- 11)

Silvers – (- 9)
Get a birdie to kick off the round, when he sinks a 13 footer.(- 10)

Group 1 – holes 13-15

Baxter – (+3)
Bad driving again plagues Baxter as he bogeys the long par 5 14 th. (+4)

Fuijita – (- 5)
Birdies number 13.(- 6)

Group 2 – holes 10-12

Kelmay – (- 5)
Drive ends up in the deep rough off the tee at 10 and Kelmay never recovers – ending up with bogey.(- 4)

Kappe III – (- 3)
Par Kappe scrambles for par on 10, solidly pars 11, and makes a 10 footer for bird at 12.(- 4)

Group 3 – holes 7-9

Babson – (- 8)
Misses a 15 foot putt for birdie on 7, but also misses the 6 foot comebacker for par. Front 9 – 34.(- 7)

Gonzalez – (- 10)
Pars out and closes the front side with an impressive 32.(- 10)

Smith – (- 7)
Tries to scramble on 9 to save par after missing the fairway off the tee, but can’t do it. Even par front. (- 6)

Group 4 – holes 4-6

Kormelink – (- 8)
Bird on 4 is countered by a bogey at 5.(- 8)

Juckett – (- 11)
Red-hot 3 under start is tempered by another bogey. The tee ball on the par 3 5 th misses the green.(- 10)

Silvers – (- 10)
Add another birdie at 6.(- 11)

Group 5 – holes 1-3

Herd – (- 10)
8 shots back to start the round. Herd wants to make Gunner work for the victory. Par on one, reaches 2 in 2 but the leaves the eagle putt 6 inches short and taps in for bird, then birdies 3.(- 12)

Almighty – (- 12)
Also hoping to pressure Gunner, Birdie at one, birdie at 2 but at 3 his tee ball find the trees. His resourceful nature and scrambling ability allow him to save par. (- 14)

Gunner – (- 18)
Just needs to play solid to win the first tourney of the year. Starts off better than solid, with a birdie at 1 and 2, but gives a stroke back at 3 when he 3 putted from 26 feet. (- 19)

When I asked what game was being used here I got 3 different answers. Im not sure if 2 of them were BS and one was real or if all 3 were real. Can someone please tell me how this dynasty is being played? It looks interesting but thats just something I have to know to follow along.

Matt,

Sorry, I didn't realize you wanted to know so bad.

It is a combination of a bunch of games. Stroke Saver (which was mentioned above) is used for the base score. A second game, Hero of the Links, which takes into account more attributes (if you look at the original thread about FOFC Golf Tour you'll see what they are) is used to adjust the score, and a 3rd game (is used for distances in the descriptions - it doesn't affect the scoring at all.)

To be honest, some of the Hero of the Links game requires me to set house rules before starting a round, basically taking into account pen placements, weather conditions, etc.

Group 1 – holes 16-18

Baxter – (+4)
Closes out the tournament on a positive note, getting birdies at both 17 and 18. Final round score 70. (+2)

Fuijita – (- 6)
Jimmy’s strong play continues, but he’s unable to convert a couple of birdie putts between 15 and 20 feet, and closes with 3 pars. Final round score 68. (- 6)

Group 2 – holes 13-15

Kelmay – (- 4)
Gets a birdie at the breather 13th.(- 5)

Kappe III – (- 4)
Nicely played shots on the par 5 14 th leads to birdie.(- 5)

Group 3 – holes 10-12

Babson – (- 7)
6 combined putts and 10 and 11 give Brian back to back bogeys.(- 5)

Gonzalez – (- 10)
Gonzalez goes at the pin on 10 and his ball hits within 15 feet but backs off the green. Then David fails to get up and down from the shortside..(- 9)

Smith – (- 6)
Tee ball at 12 enters the fronting bunker and Smith doesn’t get up and down. (- 5)

Group 4 – holes 7-9

Kormelink – (- 8)
Birdie at 7 countered by bogey at 9 – finishes even par on the front.(- 8)

Juckett – (- 10)
Gets a stroke back on 7 with an awesome wedge off the tee to within 4 feet, but loses his stroke at 8 when he hits the ball in the bunkers off the tee and then can’t stop the ball on the green with the approach shot. Front 9 – 36 strokes.(- 10)

Silvers – (- 11)
Birdies the short par 3 7 th, when his approach amazingly ends up inside of Juckett’s. Then he birdies the tough par 4 8 th and closes the front 9 with only 32 strokes.(- 13)

Group 5 – holes 4-6

Herd – (- 12)
Gets another birdie at 5 when he sinks a 19 foot birdie putt.(- 13)

Almighty – (- 14)
Par, Birdie at 5 when the 7 iron rolls to 8 feet and the putt is made. Birdies again at 6 when he hits a great tee ball, a good 2 nd shot leaves him 130 yards and a 9 iron lands less than 10 feet. (- 16)

Gunner – (- 19)
Bogey on 3 is followed immediately by a double on 4. Gunner’s drive misses the fairway badly, he can’t get the clubface to the ball and his second shot only advances about 100 yards down the fairway. The 3 rd shot misses the tiny green an average pitch and 2 putts ends the hole with a 6. He does get 1 of the stroke back with a determined birdie at 5. (- 18)

Kelmay – (- 5)
Par Par Par – Back 9 of 36 – full round of 69.(- 5)

Kappe III – (- 5)
Par Par Par – back 9 of 34 – full round of 69.(- 5)

Group 3 – holes 13-15

Babson – (- 5)
Bogey again at 13 when 3 putt Babson lives up to his new nickname, but his length gets the stroke back on the next hole (par 5 – 14).(- 5)

Gonzalez – (- 9)
David’s move comes to a screeching halt on 14. Wanting a big drive to go for the green in 2, David muscles up, comes over the top and hits a pull hook way left. His attempts to scramble are unaffective followed by a 3 putt on the tricky green, and David walks off with a double bogey 7.(- 7)

Smith – (- 5)
Pars all 3 holes. (- 5)

Group 4 – holes 10-12

Kormelink – (- 8)
Gets a tough birdie at 10.(- 9)

Juckett – (- 10)
His erratic play continues with bogeys at 10 and 12.(- 8)

Silvers – (- 13)
Silvers continued to play great getting a birdie on the difficult 10th, matching Kormelink and getting only the 2 nd birdie on the hole for the day. (- 14)

Group 5 – holes 7-9

Herd – (- 13)
Par, Solidly played hole 8 is birdied and 9 is a par. Closing the front side with a 32.(- 14)

Almighty – (- 16)
Pars 7 when his putt lips out from 12 feet. Birdies 8 when he sinks a 16 footer – and pulls him to within one shot of the lead. However, he gives a stroke back at 9. Finishes the front with a 32 as well. (- 16)

Gunner – (- 18)
His 6 stroke lead diminished to only 2 going into the last 3 holes on the front, Gunner pars out and finishes the front with a 36. (- 18)

Group 3 – holes 16-18

Babson – (- 5)
Babson goes par par, then licks his chops on the par 5 18 th, lets it rip and comes away with an easy birdie. The back was played to 37 and the round to 71.(- 6)

Gonzalez – (- 7)
A great tee ball at the par 3 17 th gets David one back and he closes with a disappointing 38 on the back and a strange 70 for the round.(- 8)

Smith – (- 5)
Pars all 3 holes. Finishes with a 37 on the back and 1 over for the round (- 5)

Group 4 – holes 13-15

Kormelink – (- 9)
Birdie on 12 – great approach to within 8 feet.(- 10)

Juckett – (- 8)
3 pars.(- 8)

Silvers – (- 14)
Pars all 3 holes. (- 14)

Group 5 – holes 10-12

Herd – (- 14)
Any thoughts of winning come to an end on these 3 holes. Bogey at 10 is followed by a birdie at 11, but a bogey again at 12 combined with only 6 remaining holes closes the book on Herd’s chances. (- 13)

Almighty – (- 16)
Birdies again at 10 to pull within 1 stroke of the lead. However, he can’t maintain that level of play and TE bogey’s 13 when his tee ball ends in the fronting bunker and he doesn’t get up and down. (- 16)

Gunner – (- 18)
Pars 10 and sees his lead shrink to 1 stroke, responds by getting a birdie at 11 and opening his lead up once more. (- 19)

Kormelink – (- 10)
Bogey at 16 when tee ball finds right side bunkers, gets the stroke back at 17 when he sinks a 20 foot putt. Back 9 in 34 round in 70.(- 10)

Juckett – (- 8)
Par, Par, and looking for extra length off the tee, Juckett pulls the ball left of line and ends up in the ocean. Finishes the hole with a double bogey 7 – closes the back with a 40, and a 76 for the round. (- 6)

Silvers – (- 14)
Par Par, and misses a 13 footer on 18 and settles for par. Back 9 – 35: round - 67 (- 14)

Group 5 – holes 13-15

Herd – (- 13)
Herd manages another birdie at 15 and pulls back into a tie with Silvers for 3 rd place with 3 holes to go.. (- 14)

Almighty – (- 16)
Misses a makeable birdie putt on 13 then has to settle for par on the next 2. (- 16)

Gunner – (- 19)
Birdie on 13 and another at 14 and the door for Almighty is closing, but a bad tee ball at 15 which leads to a bogey keeps the door cracked. (- 20)

Looks like a tie for 7th-9th for Babson...I'll take it. I'm guessing with the tougher putting at the end of tournies that it'll take a miracle for him to win one. Congrats Gunner, not to jinx you, but looks like youve got tourney #1 wrapped up.

Herd – (- 14)
Herd needs to play the last 3 holes under par to get 3 place to himself, but he scrambles for par at 16, has 2 putts from 27 feet on 17 and misses the fairway at 18 so he can’t go for the green in two, then the 3 rd shot approach isn’t close to the pen and 2 putts later Herd pars out and finishes the back even par and closes the round with a 4 under 68. (- 14)

Almighty – (- 16)
Needs to light it up on the last 3 holes to have a shot at a victory. But 16’s approach left TE with a tough 15 footer for birdie, which he missed. On 17 the tee ball missed the green by 3 feet, and his chip lipped out. Then on 18 he decided not to risk a big number and possibly double the hole and fall into a 3 way tie for 2 nd. He pars 18 and shoots 36 on the back and 68 for the round. (- 16)

Gunner – (- 20)
Plays solid golf on 16 and 17 and on 18 his 3 rd shot into the green cozies up to the cup and a tap in closes the round with birdie and a 33 on the back and a 69 for the round. (- 21)

5th place, not bad. I played horribly mediocre on the last day, too.

Great job Breeze.

Had a great start to day 4, but the back 9 killed my hopes of earning more points and money. Can't wait until the next tourney.

Good job Breeze, congrats Gunner.

Well, day 3 was pretty god awful, not to mention embarrassing. It looks like it's time to spend some time on the driving range...

If someone puts together a simple leaderboard, I'll get the points and money standings started.

Quick Update...

I'm working on getting Bay Hill set up. This is fun, but it does take more time than I expected. We should be ready to roll for the second tourney in a couple of days.
