Still, the best gift of all was for today. My wife and I rescued a female Siberian Husky puppy this afternoon from the Adopt-A-Husky agency. So now our male Siberian has a pal. Turns out they were born two days apart!

ROTK:EE DVD
Pirates! (argh) and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 for PC
The first Harry Potter book (I have all the others, but not that one for some reason)
a nice Colorado Avs T-Shirt
a cool RTFM T-Shirt from ThinkGeek
a set of luggage
a Bruins Practice Jersey
and (my fave) a Colorado Rockies hockey jersey. Totally cool.

had a couple other gifts that really hit me kind of hard. First, some stuff that my Aunt had sent - it was my father's high school yearbook, Army manual, and his varsity letter from high school. It's been 4 years since I lost him, but I was totally unprepared for that...and broke down pretty hard. Then, as I'm recovering from that, my sister hands me one of her gifts to me - a framed picture of him standing next to his first car. And the tears began to flow again.

I found-out that my wife was pregnant with our first child shortly before Chirstmas day. We wrapped-up the tester and gave it to each of our folks in turn as we visited them. My mother-in-law, who is a nurse, thought it was a thermometer at first.

Best.....Christmas.....ever!!!

Thanks. We at least put the cover back on the pee stick before ambushing our relatives. Most of whom had given up on us having kids since we are both in our mid'ish 30's.

That rear view was the source of much hilarity at my family's house the other night.

I got a baseball glove for Chirstmas.

No really, I did.

For those not aware of me disliking the game of baseball, there, you know it now. And the other killer was that it is a left-hand glover for a left-handed guy. (Glad to know it was more of a figure of speech gift.)

The CD from the Athens 2004 Olympics opening ceremonies from the biggest Dutch idol in the world right now, [DJ] Tiësto, made up for the big joke.

Oh, I gave everybody in the family a personal gift certificate with 3 wishes for the new year. Yeah, they all loved it, but they still want real presents a.s.a.p.
