I can't believe judicial clerk was able to bring up Elvis Patterson. That's got to be my favorite ever. I had completely forgotten about him, and I'm shocked that I've ever read his name again. gg bro

Anyway, I like many of the ones mentioned, and I'm sure my other favorites are among them, so I'll just add three that I like:

Jim "Crash" Edmonds
Keith "Mister" Jennings
Shawn "The Great White Nope" Bradley

Lots of great ones and a lot of my favorites but my absolute favorite hasn't been mentioned yet. The guy has a poetic name anyway and the nickname works well with it.

I'm talking of course about, Aurelio Alejandro "Senor Smoke" Lopez.

I know someone has mentioned not to list Berman Nicknames, so I will let those who want to view an entire list of them go here rather than post them in the thread.

And yet today's football fans could think of the San Diego Chargers' running back.

I always liked Martin "Automatica" Gramatica.

Any football fan who hears 'LT' and doesn't think of Lawrence Taylor should go get his official football fanhood revoked.

I think his career was also shortened a little by Steve Atwater. As a Raider fan I must officially hate both teams, but that lick Atwater gave okoye when Atwater was miked up was awesome. "you gonna cry?!"

Who was "the rifleman"?

Sam "Bam " Cunningham
Craig "Ironhead" Heyward[sp]
Reggie White - "The Minister of Defense"

"Big Daddy" Don Garlits
Dale Earnhardt - "The Intimidator"

"Shoeless" Joe Jackson
Pete Rose - "Charlie Hustle"

Who was the Chiefs linebacker who was nicknamed "the Hammer" who got knocked out by the Packers fullback in the superbowl?

Who was Dr. Dunkenstein? (or is this one just a figment[sp?] of my imagination)

Shawn "Blue Beard" Kemp? I would think it'd be more like Shawn "Babydaddy" Kemp.
