Nebraska Blizzards 2022: A Secret Revealed
Dynasty Overview The purpose of the Nebraska Blizzards Dynasty is to tell a compelling and intriguing story using FOF2 as the backdrop. The Story So Far (Updated 3/15/03!!!) It all began in January 2000. That year, Anthony Coriolanus, President and CEO of AgroGlobal Corporation, and a man known only as "The Executioner" agreed to a join forces in a business venture expected to generate billions of dollars. Using Coriolanus’ connections with the National Football League Commissioner’s Office, the two men set out to purchase an expansion franchise to generate large amounts of cash separate and apart from their own personal income. Then, using Executioner’s connections to the infamous Mexican Zopepe Drug Cartel, the money made by the team would be invested into drug trafficking to generate incredible profits. Since they decided that the team’s name would be the Nebraska Blizzards, it seemed appropriate that their criminal venture should be code-named Operation Snow Blind. Their plan began with Coriolanus bribing NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue and other league executives to obtain enough votes to win the bid for an expansion franchise in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Executioner, meanwhile, assassinated the most prominent competitors for the expansion franchise team, as well as those opposed to construction of the Blizzards’ stadium. After Coriolanus was awarded the NFL's latest expansion franchise, he set out to hire the best General Manager in the league—Jack “Grid” Iron. Since Grid was under contract with the San Diego Chargers, Coriolanus framed Iron by paying a notorious bookie, Heather Diamond, to accuse the GM of gambling on NFL games. After Iron was fired by the Chargers due to the criminal charges, Coriolanus befriended him, and even paid for his lawyer throughout the ensuing jury trial. Iron was later acquitted after Diamond surprised prosecutors by testifying that she made up the accusations only to gain notoriety. Since Coriolanus had supported Grid Iron throughout the entire ordeal, Iron’s decision to be the Blizzards’ GM was an easy one. After securing the franchise, stadium and general manager, Coriolanus and the Executioner began investing the team’s profits into the drug trade. Over several years, Coriolanus donated millions of dollars generated by the Blizzards to sham charities in South America and Mexico. These charities then laundered the money by transferring it to the cartel, where it was used to fund the drug smuggling operations. The drug profits were then deposited into several off-shore bank accounts, set up by the Executioner. The enterprise was wildly successful, as both men made over one billion dollars within 10 years. Coriolanus was content to bask in the glory of his vast, new wealth. The Executioner, however, had different plans for his share of the profits. Working with CIA Director Archie Bitzer, also known as “Silencer,” the Executioner used the money earned from the cartel’s drug activities to genetically engineer a virus that would kill anyone of Arab ancestry. In 2015, the virus was released into a small village in Saudi Arabia, and it spread quickly across the entire region, gaining its nickname, the “Arabian Flu.” By the end of 2016, it had reached every country in the Middle East and killed over 500,000 people. By 2017, the disease appeared for the first time in the United States when a businessman from Yemen died shortly after arriving in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 2018, the first case in the continental U.S. occurred when a Saudi immigrant, who had not been to the Middle East in several years, died in a Bronx, New York, hospital. In 2019, Bitzer urged the Executioner to begin what is known only as “Phase 2,” which involved distributing a vaccine for the Arabian Flu. The Executioner refused, telling Bitzer that he could not provide him a vaccine because none existed - he had lied about it merely to secure Bitzer’s help. Wracked with guilt, Bitzer later took his own life. FBI Agent Alex Goldstein, however, discovered the Executioner’s plot while reviewing Bitzer’s computer files. Also in 2019, the countries of Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Saudi Arabia began deploying large numbers of troops and missiles (suspected of carrying chemical weapons) to their borders with Israel, which they blamed for the disease. In response, Israel detonated a tactical nuclear device in an uninhabited area to deter any military attack by the Arabs. The escalating violence in the Middle East convinced Goldstein to suggest to his superiors that the U.S. take responsibility for its role in creating the virus. The President of the United States ordered a cover-up of the incident. Goldstein, however, saved the computer records and planned to go public with the information. Unfortunately, the National Security Agency caught wind of Goldstein’s plan and had him arrested to face charges of treason before a military tribunal. He is currently being held at a secret military base outside of the continental United States. As for Coriolanus, he fled the U.S. in 2014 following an attempt on his life by one of the Executioner’s assassins and his indictment for drug trafficking. He re-appeared in 2016, however, in Germany. Holed up with a large cache of firearms in a small apartment in suburban Hamburg, Coriolanus told Interpol authorities that he killed his own wife and children mercifully because he feared that they would have suffered horrific and painful deaths if the Executioner got to them first. After several hours of negotiation, Coriolanus agreed to surrender and the authorities all about Operation Snow Blind. Unfortunately, as Coriolanus walked out of the apartment and towards the waiting police, he was shot and killed by an unknown assassin. To date, the Arabian Flu has killed over three million people. Further, the Executioner’s purpose in creating the virus and releasing it upon the Middle East is currently unknown. In addition, over the last decade several South Pacific villages, and all of their inhabitants, have been completely destroyed by missiles from Russian Mako helicopters. The Russian government has denied any involvement. The CIA believes that several Mako helicopters that vanished on a training mission in 2003 in Siberia were actually stolen by the squadron commander, Vladimir Maritczak, and his men. A worldwide search has begun for Maritczak, who was an outspoken Ukrainian and considered to be sympathetic toward the United States and NATO. Any connection between the Mako helicopters and Operation Snow Blind, if there is one, is unknown at this time. On December 31, 2019, NORAD detected the launch of 35 missiles from various Arab nations directed at Israel. Shortly thereafter, Israel launched a counter-strike of 65 rockets, which satellites showed to be armed with nuclear warheads. The capitals of Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Syria are among the cities targeted. In 2020, the world learned of the horrifying destruction across the Middle East from the Arab-Israeli missile attacks. Millions died and cities were left in ruin. The U.N. sent peacekeepers to the area to maintain stability, but they weren't enough. U.N. Secretary General Jean-Paul Petain was removed from office when the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Jamir Al Sabah, called for his impeachment after his father was killed by a suicide bomber. Al Sabah, the newly crowned King of Kuwait, was elected to replace Petain, and has vowed to increase the U.N.'s military presence in the Middle East to eradicate the many terrorist groups attempting to seize power in the shattered land. Also in 2020, Grid Iron received a cryptic e-mail from someone purporting to be Anthony Coriolanus. Coriolanus was believed to have been killed by an assassin in 2016 before he could reveal the secret of Operation Snow Blind to the authorities. In 2021, Grid Iron learned that the e-mail was really an automated message written by Coriolanus several years ago before his death. Coriolanus instructed Grid Iron to access the AgroGlobal computer system in Kuala Lumpur for information that would unveil a horrifying conspiracy. In Kuala Lumpur, Coriolanus left a message for Grid saying the information had to be copied to a keychain hard drive and that it would be slipped to him by a guest at Le Petit Zinc, a restaurant in Paris, on New Year's Eve 2022. Also in 2021, Anthony Angelino gave up his stake in the Melbourne, Florida, Eagles to become the majority owner of the Nebraska Blizzards. The President of New York-based BuildCo Enterprises, Angelino announced shortly after buying the team that he would move it unless the public paid for a new $1 billion stadium. At the close of 2021, King Jamir Al Sabah of Kuwait announced that doctors in his country discovered a cure for the Arabian Flu and would begin distributing it immediately. To catch up on all the details of the story from 2000 - 2019, go to the following link at the old FOF Central Pub: Nebraska Blizzards Decade Review: 2010-2019 Here are the most recent chapters located at the new FOF Central pub: Nebraska Blizzards 2020: A Ghost From the Past Nebraska Blizzards 2021: The Plot Thickens House Rules (Updated 3/5/03!) I employ a fairly standard set of "house rules" (empty cupboard, no franchise tag, must maintain a 53-man roster, no renegotiating, can't make trade proposals, trades must pass "fairness test", no current NFL players, auto-sign rookies). During the 20-step free agent period, I may negotiate with any player who was on my team the previous season without restriction. As for free agents who did not play on my team the previous season, I may sign up to three of them during the 20-step process, but I may only bid on one player at a time and I cannot modify my original offer. After the 20-step free agency period, I can only sign undrafted rookie free agents and players who were on my roster the previous season. All contracts signed outside of the 20-step process must be for exactly what the player asks, or for one year. I have decided to allow renegotiating with “classy veterans" who have a loyalty of "high" or above. Last edited by Grid Iron : 08-01-2003 at 08:45 PM. |

Stability emerges in worn-torn Middle EastKuwaiti King brings renewed hope to regionJanuary 15, 2022 Kuwait City, Kuwait - U.N. Secretary General Jamir Al Sabah, who is also the King of Kuwait, announced today that long-term stability in the Middle East is a real possibility within five years. "The increased U.N. security forces in the region, working closely with the CIA and Israeli Defense Ministry, should be able to stamp out virtually all of the major terrorist cells within a few years," he said. "With hard work and diplomacy, I forsee the Middle East as a place of peace and harmony by the end of this decade." Al Sabah, whose country developed the first known cure for the Arabian Flu, is considered by many as one who might orchestrate peaceful coexistence between the Arabs and Israelis. "There are many evil forces in this world who will attempt to frustrate the peace process," Al Sabah said in a recent interview. "That is why we must be ever vigilant." 2022 Preview
The Blizzards will face a tough challenge in 2022 as the team attempts to repeat as Super Bowl champions. “We’ve got a great nucleus of players,” said GM Grid Iron. “I really like our chances.” Ticket Prices Despite a Super Bowl victory last season, the team imposed only a modest increase to keep ticket prices in line with the Denver Broncos. The biggest jump was a three-percent increase, or $8,000, to luxury suites making the total cost $272,000. Scouts/Coaches There were no coach or scout changes for 2022. Retirements No Blizzards retired to start the 2022 season. Stadium Proposal The team’s new owner, Anthony Angelino, has stated that if his new $1 billion stadium is not approved by voters, the team might be forced to relocate. Angelino’s proposed stadium will hold 75,000 fans and have 12,500 club seats, as well as 250 luxury boxes. A special ballot measure is scheduled before the start of the season for voters to decide if the City of Lincoln should pay for the new facility. Free Agency The Blizzards went into the free agency period $40.8 million under the $205.5 million salary cap. Key Players Re-Signed
Key Players Lost
Key Players Gained None. Trades Although Grid Iron received several trade offers, all of them were rejected. Amateur Draft In the amateur draft, Grid Iron chose to increase the depth of the receiving corps and started by selecting WR Buddy Thomason out of Washington with the 36th overall selection. The 5’10”, 214-pound Thomason is known mostly for his clutch ability on third down. “This kid has great hands and agility, as well as the skill to make big plays on third down,” said Iron Here is a complete list of players drafted by Nebraska: Rnd 1 - Buddy Thomason, WR, Washington Rnd 2 - Donny Woodard, RB, Virginia Rnd 3 - Morion Clemons, WR, Purdue Rnd 4 - Spencer Terrell, WR, Georgia Tech Rnd 5 - Dominic Dishman, LB, Michigan State Rnd 6 - Zach Barraza, QB, East Carolina Rnd 7 - Horace Bjornson, CB, Illinois Training Camp/Exhibition Season The 2022 exhibition season was particularly special because it matched up the Blizzards against their in-state rivals, the Omaha Raptors, for the first time in franchise history. Unfortunately, the team from Lincoln came out on the short end, losing 17-16 in Omaha. “That was a tough one,” recalled head coach Damon Walsh. “Maybe we’ll get the chance for revenge when we play the NFC Central next year.” The exhibition season also served as an excellent platform for some younger Blizzards to showcase their talents. Second-year QB Luther Sheen, Nebraska’s first-round pick in 2021, finished the preseason completing 43 of 73 (59%) for 558 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Rookie RB Donny Woodard, who will replace Alonzo McCreary as the primary backup ball carrier, had 404 rushing yards and three touchdowns, including a 180-yard day with two scores in the final game. Schedule The Blizzards face an average schedule this year with only seven games against teams that made the playoffs in 2021. Here is the entire Nebraska schedule: Code:

Voters approve new stadium!Controversial measure passes by less than one percentSeptember 1, 2022 Lincoln, Nebraska (Ticker) - Lincoln voters today approved the dedication of $1 billion to construct a new stadium for the Nebraska Blizzards by a margin of 50.1 to 49.9 percent. "We're ecstatic that the voters chose to keep the Blizzards right where they belong--Lincoln, Nebraska," said team owner Anthony Angelino, who is also President of the New York-based BuildCo Enterprises. Angelino explained that construction of the stadium will begin almost immediately and should be ready for the 2024 season. "We are going to be working around the clock to get it done," Angelino said. |

Local attorney sues Blizzards!Lawsuit alleges voting irregularities, conflict of interestSeptember 28, 2022 Lincoln, Nebraska (AP) - Local Lincoln attorney Bruce Hendrickson filed a $1 billion lawsuit in federal court today, alleging that the recent voter approval of the Blizzards' new stadium was illegal. "We have evidence that hundreds of voters were physically threatened at various polls and coerced into voting for the Blizzards' new stadium," said Hendrickson. "In addition, many polls closed early in the day, precluding potentially thousands of citizens the right to vote on this important issue." Hendrickson also accused Blizzards' owner Anthony Angelino of concealing a conflict of interest involved in the stadium deal. "It has come to my attention that BuildCo Enterprises was given the exclusive rights to construct the stadium." Hendrickson explained that such a deal, "deprives the people of Lincoln the benefit of competitive bidding to potentially reduce the cost of building the 75,000 seat facility." "He (Angelino) will make over $50 million off the construction of the stadium alone," said Hendrickson. Angelino, President of BuildCo Enterprises, said Hendrickson's claims were "baseless and without merit." "I'm sure when the case is finally over, Mr. Hendrickson will truly regret having brought such a frivoulous lawsuit." |

Stadium lawsuit dismissedLegal costs will preclude appealNovember 10, 2022 Lincoln, Nebraska (Reuters) - A federal judge today dismissed a $1 billion lawsuit by local attorney Bruce Hendrickson against the Nebraska Blizzards. District Court Judge James Penrod threw Hendrickson's case out of court, calling his claims that citizens were intimidated into voting for the Blizzards new stadium "absurd." He also said the allegations that thousands of citizens were deprived of the chance to vote because polls closed too early were "frivolous." In an unusual move, the judge also punished Hendrickson by ordering him to pay the Nebraska Blizzards $250,000 in attorneys' fees for "filing a lawsuit in bad faith." "This is a sound victory for the Blizzards and the new stadium project," said team owner Anthony Angelino. "We were very confident that we would prevail." Hendrickson said that an appeal of the judge's decision would be impossible because he is "totally wiped out financially." "The judge ordered me to pay the Blizzards a quarter-million dollars in attorneys fees, so I don't have any money for an appeal." |

Week 14: Blizzards (9-3) vs. Seahawks (10-2)
The Seahawks scored 14 points off of Nebraska turnovers and Seattle’s running back rushed 60 yards for a touchdown with under five minutes to go to put the game out of reach, 38-25. With the loss, the Blizzards (9-4) dropped into second place behind the Seahawks (11-2) Week 15: Blizzards (9-4) vs. Ravens (9-4) QB Moran Sweeney was outstanding (214 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT) and Nebraska rushed for a total of 298 yards as the Blizzards crushed the AFC Central leading Ravens by a score of 48-7. Unfortunately, Seattle’s 31-3 victory over Arizona allowed the Seahawks to maintain a two-game lead in the division. Week 16: Blizzards (10-4) vs. Redskins (5-9) Nebraska K Sam Brewer missed two field goals and an extra point, which was the difference in the ballgame as the Redskins beat the Blizzards 30-24. The Seahawks clinched the AFC West with a 13-3 victory over the Titans. With a victory next week, the Blizzards will clinch a playoff berth. If they lose, Nebraska could be done for the year. Week 17: Blizzards (10-4) at Seahawks (13-3) In a game that meant nothing to Seattle, the Blizzards defense held the Seahawks to just 185 total yards in a 30-10 Nebraska victory. QB Moran Sweeney won Player of the Game honors after completing 17 of 21 for 157 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Full Season Review The Blizzards finished the season at 11-5, clinching the top wild card spot. Next week, they will host the 10-6 Buffalo Bills. Nebraska QB Moran Sweeney had a splendid season despite missing two games. On the year, Moran threw for 2,666 yards and led the league with 28 touchdown passes and a 98.9 quarterback rating. He also rushed for a career-high 317 yards (5.6 avg), and threw just 11 interceptions. CB Travis Long earned every penny of his new $56 million, four-year contract after finishing the year with 51 tackles (41 solo) and eight interceptions. |

U.N. gets elite military aircraftWashington provides high-tech fighters to Mid-East peacekeepersDecember 1, 2022 Washington, DC (AP) - White House spokesman Glen Tidwell announced today the the U.S. government has agreed to provide 1,000 new F-35 Joint Strike Fighers for use by United Nations peacekeepers in the Middle East. "The JSF has proved time and again to be an excellent deterrent, and should provide increased stablility as the region recovers from the Arab-Israeli holocaust of 2019." The Joint Strike Fighter is manufactured by Lockheed-Martin and utilizes the latest in steath technology, making it invisible to the most sensitive radar systems. The F-35 can cruise at supersonic speeds, as well as takeoff and land vertically. The JSF is designed to fill the roles of both fighter and bomber. The U.S. agreed to provide the F-35s to the U.N. after the Secretary General Jamir Al Sabah, who is also the King of Kuwait, expressed that current peacekeeping aircraft were becoming too outdated. "The U.N. will be able to ensure even more security in the region with the addition of these fine aircraft." Tidwell explained that U.S. Air Force personnel will pilot the aircraft until U.N. peacekeeping forces are sufficiently trained in the use of the planes, which could take over two years. Blizzards stampede Bills!Nebraska cruises to 41-3 wild card victory over BuffaloDecember 7, 2022 Lincoln, Nebraska (Ticker) – Blizzards RB Jerome Sweeney ran for 123 yards and three of his team’s five rushing touchdowns as Nebraska destroyed the Buffalo Bills by a score of 41-3. “I guess our running game was working today,” said Blizzards head coach Damon Walsh with a grin, referring to the fact that his team out gained the Bills by a margin of 270 yards to 19 on the ground. “Hopefully, this intensity will carry over into next week.” The Blizzards took a quick 14-0 lead halfway through the first quarter on touchdown runs of eight and nine yards by Jerome Sweeney, but the Bills made the score 14-3 after a 35-yard field goal with 2:37 left in the first period. After that, however, it was all Nebraska. The Blizzards added another 10 points in the second quarter, three points in the third, and 14 in the final period to seal the victory. On the day, the Blizzards controlled the ball for an incredible 41:51 minutes, while the Bills had it for a paltry 18:09. “When we control the ball, we win,” said FB Tom Carlisle who finished the day with 9 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown. Next week, the Blizzards will play the AFC West Champion Seattle Seahawks (13-3) in the Divisional Playoff. Code:

Nebraska clips Seahawks’ wings!Blizzards edge AFC West Champs 14-13 in comeback victoryDecember 14, 2022 Lincoln, Nebraska (Ticker) – The Blizzards defense held the Seahawks to just 97 passing yards and the offense controlled the ball for almost 36 minutes as Nebraska ousted Seattle from the playoffs by a score of 14-13. “This was a team win,” said Blizzards DE Burt Rubio, who was named Player of the Game after making 13 tackles on the day. “Both the offense and defense took care of business when it really counted.” Seattle scored first on a drive that was sustained by a Nebraska offsides penalty on fourth down to take a 7-0 lead. The Blizzards responded, however, with an 80-yard touchdown drive of their own in which the team converted five times on third down to tie the game at 7-7. The Seahawks’ next two possession ended in punts, but Nebraska couldn’t capitalize. Both of the Blizzards’ ensuing drives ended in QB Moran Sweeney interceptions, with the final one setting up a 55-yard Seattle field goal as time expired in the second quarter to give the Seahawks a 10-7 lead at halftime. The teams exchanged punts to start the third quarter, but Seattle finally broke through on their second possession with a 34-yard field goal to take a 13-7 lead. After the teams traded punts early in the fourth quarter, Nebraska began what will be forever known as “The Drive.” Starting at his own five-yard line, Blizzards QB Moran Sweeney orchestrated an 8-minute, 32-second drive that culminated in a five-yard touchdown run off right guard by rookie RB Donny Woodard to give Nebraska a 14-13 lead and left only 5:19 on the clock. On the drive, Moran was 5 of 5 for 68 yards, including a 16-yard completion to WR Vince Clinton on fourth-and-four from the Seattle 34. Sensing victory, the Blizzards defense went into overdrive and forced the Seahawks to punt twice after gaining a total of five yards on their next two possessions. Unfortunately, the Nebraska offense couldn’t move the ball either, and Seattle took possession at their own 33 with 49 seconds remaining in the game and no time outs. On first-and-10, Nebraska DE Lester Van Pelt sacked Seattle QB Grady Phillips for a loss of six yards, taking valuable seconds off the clock. On second-and-16 with 29 seconds remaining, Grady threw incomplete. On third-and-16 with 20 seconds left, Nebraska CB Bryce Joyner knocked down Grady’s pass, bringing up fourth down. On fourth-and-16 with just 12 seconds in the game, the Grady completed a 34-yard pass to the Nebraska 39. With no timeouts, however, the Seahawks couldn’t get off a field goal attempt before time expired and the Blizzards stormed the field, rejoicing in victory. Code:

Back to the Bowl!Nebraska heads back to Super Bowl with 34-31 OT victoryDecember 21, 2022 Lincoln, Nebraska (Ticker) – Nebraska RB Jerome Sweeney rushed for 206 yards and a touchdown and K Sam Brewer made up for a miss earlier in the day by nailing a 29-yard game-winning field goal in overtime to send the Blizzards back to the Super Bowl for the second straight year. “I was just glad to gave the opportunity for a second chance,” said a relieved Brewer, who missed a 46-yarder earlier in regulation. “I love to be on the field when the game is on the line.” The Bobcats shocked 66,100 fans at Guy Chamberlin Field by jumping out to a 14-0 lead midway through the first quarter after taking a blocked Nebraska punt into the endzone for a score and following that with a 59-yard touchdown drive. The Blizzards, however, didn’t give up, as the team drove 80 yards to pull within a touchdown at 14-7 early in the second quarter. After a Greenville punt, Blizzards RB Jerome Sweeney broke free for a 54-yard sprint around right guard to set up his own three-yard touchdown run two plays later to tie the game at 14-14. Following a Bobcat punt, Blizzards kicker Sam Brewer missed a 46-yard field goal attempt with 3:54 remaining in the second quarter, and the score remained tied 14-14 at halftime. On the Bobcats’ first possession of the third quarter, Blizzards S Charles Mangum intercepted QB Everett Fox at the Nebraska 41 and returned it all the way to the Greenville 18. Three plays later, Sam Brewer hit a 34-yard field goal to give his team a 17-14 lead with 10:57 left in the third. The Blizzards upped the score to 24-14 after Jerome Sweeney ran 30 yards to set up an 8-yard touchdown pass by his brother QB Moran Sweeney to TE Kenny Fryar. With just under one minute left in the third quarter, Greenville cut into Nebraska’s 10-point lead by kicking a 44-yard field goal after a Nebraska interception. Following a Nebraska punt, Greenville’s Everett Fox completed two consecutive passes for 54 yards to set up a 14-yard touchdown run off left tackle by RB Kevin Moss which tied the game at 24-24 early in the fourth quarter. Nebraska QB Moran Sweeney fumbled on his team’s next possession after being sacked for a five-yard loss, and Greenville took a 31-24 lead six plays later on a five-yard draw by Everett Fox. Only 5:35 remained in the game. Starting at their own 20-yard line, Nebraska moved steadily down the field and tied the game 31-31 after Moran Sweeney hit rookie WR Myron Woodard in stride for a 31-yard touchdown pass with just 1:39 left in the fourth quarter. Key to the drive was the running of FB Tom Carlisle, who converted twice on fourth-and-one to keep the Blizzards playoff hopes alive. Both team struggled to move the ball in the final minutes of regulation, so the game went to overtime. Nebraska won the toss in OT and elected to receive, but the Blizzards had to punt after three plays. Greenville responded by driving 48 yards to the Nebraska 45, but CB Everett Blackwood intercepted the ball at the Blizzards’ 24-yard line to end the threat. Nebraska took advantage of the interception and moved quickly into Bobcat territory. Facing a third-and-thirteen from the Greenville 39, Blizzards undrafted rookie free agent RB Stan Godwin ran around right end to give Nebraska a first down inside the Bobcats’ 25. After Jerome Sweeney ran for eight yards and Carlisle rushed for three, Sam Brewer took the field and kicked his game-winning 29-yard field goal, causing Nebraska fans to storm the field and collapse the goal posts. Back-to-Back!Nebraska beats St. Louis 17-10 in Super Bowl LVIIDecember 28, 2022 St. Louis, MO (Ticker) –QB Moran Sweeney connected with TE Courtney Donovan for two touchdowns, including a 77-yard strike in the fourth quarter that put the Blizzards ahead for good, as Nebraska won its second consecutive Super Bowl by a score of 17-10 over the St. Louis Rams. “This is totally unbelievable,” said Moran, who was named Super Bowl MVP after completing 20 of 30 for 268 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. “I’m going to savor this win for a month, and then start working on a three-peat!” The game began with the two teams trading punts but Nebraska finally broke the stalemate on a 30-yard field goal by K Sam Brewer to take a 3-0 lead late in the first quarter. St. Louis finally got on the board late in the second quarter with a 50-yard field goal to tie the game at 3-3, but Moran Sweeney orchestrated a 91-yard drive that ended with an 11-yard touchdown pass on third-and-one to tight end Courtney Donovan with only 0:14 on the clock to give Nebraska a 10-3 lead at halftime. On the drive, Moran was 5 of 6 for 50 yards and converted four times on third down. In the third quarter, the teams exchanged punts until Nebraska’s Sam Brewer missed a 49-yard field goal attempt wide right. Fortunately, the Blizzards defense stepped up and forced the Rams to punt again. Leading 10-3, the Blizzards were facing a third-and-11 from their own 23 early in the fourth quarter when the St. Louis safeties came up too far on the play action fake, allowing tight end Courtney Donovan to escape uncovered downfield. Moran Sweeney threw a bullet to the wide-open Donovan, who caught the ball in stride and galloped 77 yards for a touchdown to give Nebraska a 17-3 lead and stun the crowd of 82,500 fans. The Rams, however, never lost composure. St. Louis responded with a seven-play, 71-yard touchdown drive, sustained by a 41-yard pass to the Nebraska 7 on third-and-two, pulling the Rams within one score at 17-10 with just over 10 minutes left in regulation. After another Nebraska punt, St. Louis moved the ball to the Blizzards 31-yard line, helped in part by a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty imposed when CB Herb Asbury punched a Rams player and was ejected from the game. But the Nebraska defense stepped up to the task, tackling the Rams’ running back for a three-yard loss and sacking the quarterback to put St. Louis back another six-yards. After a five-yard run, the Rams were facing a fourth-and-14 from the Nebraska 35 and decided to punt it away with 5:14 on the clock. The Blizzards took over at their own 11-yard line and drove all the way to the St. Louis 9 where Moran Sweeney took a knee with nine seconds on the clock to clinch the victory. On the game-winning drive, running back Jerome Sweeney keyed the offense, rushing six times for 29 yards and catching a 19-yard pass to the Rams’ 23-yard line. Code:

2022 Season Review2022 was a great year as Nebraska became one of only four teams to win at least four Super Bowl championships. The others are San Francisco (1981, 1984, 1988, 1995), Pittsburgh (1974, 1975, 1978, 1979, 2014), and Dallas (1971, 1977, 1992, 1993, 1995). In addition, team profits jumped 171 percent to $47.3 million. The biggest question facing Nebraska heading into next season will be whether the team can re-sign QB Moran Sweeney, who will be an un- restricted free agent. Sweeney's 2022 campaign was the best of his career, despite missing two games. On the season, he led the league in touchdown passes (28) and quarterback rating (98.9). Code:

The Executioner’s people are getting too close, so I need to disappear completely to save myself and my family. This is the only information I could recover from the AgroGlobal computers on Operation Snowblind. You’re on your own from here. Please believe me when I tell you I had no idea this was going on. May God have mercy on my soul. -AC *****TOP SECRET ***** TOP SECRET ***** TOP SECRET****** Subject: AgroGlobal Paraguay AgroGlobal Paraguay was secretly created in 1980 by the United States government to circumvent the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention of 1975. The Convention, signed simultaneously in Moscow, Washington and London in 1972, and entered into force on March 26, 1975, prohibits the development and production of microbial, biological and chemical agents that have no peaceful purpose. In 16 years since the institution began operations, AgroGlobal has experienced tremendous success in creating a variety of weapons-grade biotoxins. The most successful project so far, however, has been Toxin-Z3896, or what has become commonly known as the Arabian Flu. Funding for the Arabian Flu biotoxin began shortly after the Gulf War in 1991, as the U.S. sought the ultimate weapon against Arab aggression. Initially designed as a deterrent, the decision was made by the CIA in 2015 to use the toxin as an offensive weapon in Operation Snowblind. Further information on Operation Snowblind can be found under that heading in the AgroGlobal Top Secret Databank. As of the writing of this report on November 1, 2016, the Arabian Flu has performed far beyond all expectations in becoming the most virulent toxin on the planet. The disease has certainly accomplished its mission by killing over 500,000 people of Arab descent. Projections show that the death toll should reach over three million by 2020, and five million by 2022. It is, by far, AgroGlobal’s most successful product and has earned the corporation over $1 billion in revenue. Concerns were raised at the beginning of the project that the virus might mutate into a form deadly to non-Arabs, but the research team believes that the toxin is sufficiently stable that such a risk is negligible. AgroGlobal Paraguay is located approximately 15 miles north of Pilar. Surrounded entirely by jungle, the facility has gone undetected by local law enforcement since it was built. The GPS coordinates of the facility are: 25° 17' S, 57° 30' W. *****TOP SECRET ***** TOP SECRET ***** TOP SECRET****** Last edited by Grid Iron : 03-18-2003 at 09:30 AM. |
