OT: RISK Online
QS's Monopoly thread got me jones-ing for some RISK, and I found this FREE downloadable RISK game. It appears to have a pretty large community, and the games seem fun as far as I can tell.
Anybody up for giving it a shot?

Oooh, I love Risk, though it's been some time since I've played. I'll have to check this out when I find some time...

Risk is among my favorite board games. I have an old Risk CD-ROM that I used to play online, but it was buggy as hell. Downloaded this and am going to give it a try.
I think an FOFC Diplomacy game would be interesting too. |

How is the computer AI in this? There's another online version I ran across in the past but it was simply too easy to beat in a matter of a few turns.

The AI is actually programmed into "robots" by players. Pretty interesting idea, and I get the feeling it leads to a very good AI.

Their banner is a game breaker for me. I've already timed out of one game because the banner was over the provinces I wanted to work with.

I agree it was frustrating but quickly learned to work around it.

Just wanted to follow up on this...
Been playing for a couple of days on and off -- have 12 games under my belt, and am probably a little worse than .500 (average finish has probably been a little worse than the middle). Game has been a lot of fun so far, though, with the different maps available. I think I am going to (eventually) see if I can get into programming bots.
