FM/WWSM Question
My total wage budget is 6,750 per week.
The salary screen says my current wage bill is 10,622 per week. However, right below that it shows that my player wage total is 4,638 per week. My staff wage total is 1,500 per week, plus 1,000 per week for me (is that included?). Either way, where is that extra wage amount coming from where it claims my total is over 10K?

Does anyone know where to look to find this extra salary I'm supposedly paying?

This is a known bug. I had the same thing. The only solution was to start a new game.

That's not funny. This is where you tell me you're joking.
Seriously, though, will it always be there? What's the bug, exactly? I hope it's not set as a percentage of my actual wage bill. Basically if I get my club to advance and have a higher wage allowance, will I still be over it forever? Will the bug follow me to a new club? Can I resign and keep reapplying to the same club and resimming until I'm hired back to fix it? This sucks.

For instance at a big club you've got accountants, secretaries, etc. kicking around sucking money out of the club ... Some of the financial aspects you can effect ie. the wages of your playing staff, transfer budget etc. - some you cannot, as irl. |

PS> Yeah you're right (before you mention it) - should be made clearer somewhere in the manual ..

It didn't pop up until this season. This happens to be my first season in League Football after getting Stafford Rangers to League Two in the 2008/2009 season.
Does a club's overhead increase significantly when they become a league squad? Is £3,484 per week a reasonable number for backroom personnel for a small League Two team? That's almost 350,000 US Dollars per year. I'm not including my managerial salary or any of the shown staff in that number. I'm really just looking for an answer and appreciate the feedback.

dola -
This would be easily solved with an addition to the salary screen that shows "Backroom staff wages". Would be nice if the non-playing staff was also added to that screen.

If it's not a bug why wasn't it responded to in that way at the SI forums? Why did my wage total double from one day to the next in the game with no signings or transfers? Why hasn't it happened in my new game I started?

Okay, in addition to the above question, can someone tell me how to get my team from semi-pro to pro? I already checked and I'm pretty sure everyone is on a full-time contract, including staff.
Is there an overview panel on the roster screens where I can check this?

This sort of thing generally happens if: (1) Your season finishes and you're promoted and have clauses which increase player wages. (2) Your club reputation increases sufficiently for some reason which causes the club to take on more non-football staff (ie. secretaries, shop staff etc.) to deal with PR and business stuff. (3) Your club turns pro (this normally only happens when a club moves into a 'professional' league currently - for England its Division 2). |
