I Heart Huckabees

I have no idea who is in this movie. I have no idea what this movie is about. I don't even know what Huckabees are.

However, every time I hear the title I think of FOFC.

Thanks, guys.

How often do you hear the title of a movie that you have no idea who's in, or what it's about?

Oh, and you're welcome.

I thought it was pretty good. Three Kings was David O. Russel's best so far, though, probably.

I have no clue what the movie is about either. All I know is that Jon Brion is heavily involved in the soundtrack, so I'd like to get my hands on that at some point.

Yeah, the movie was over the top. It had its moments, but it was a real disappointment given the very talented cast.

It's a movie starring Jason Schwartzman, Jude Law, Mark Wahlburg, Dustin Hoffman and Lily Tomlin. It is about a wannabe poet that visits some "existensial detectives" to try to figure out if some coincidences mean anything. (He keeps running into the same guy.)
It is basically a screwball comedy about people trying to figure out the meaning of life. (Most of the people disappointed with the movie seem to have issues with the "meaning of life" aspects, which I didn't take too seriously and was thus able to enjoy it as a comedy, although it did feel like something was missing.)

Also the Jon Brion score, from what I recall, was awesome. Parts reminded me a lot of Elliott Smith.

Yeah, the score/soudntrack by Brion is outstanding, and I own it. You can really, really hear his influence on Aimee Mann (or vice versa) in his stuff.

I thought it was a great movie. I thought it was basically pissing on people who philosophize too much.

Another movie I never saw, but liked simply for the music connection. Shame they had to take the best lyric from the grunge era, commercialize it into a movie title, then, in a cruel twist of fate, make that ugly whore from Hole one of the stars of the movie.

I think their next project was supposed to involve buying the rights to Imagine, filming some guy taking a dump on John Lennon's grave, and releasing it as a short story about off-track betting in the Himalayas. Dealing with Yoko turned out to be a bitch, though.

Have you ever transcended space and time?

Yes. No. Well, time, not space... No, I have no idea what you're talking about.

That line made me laugh. It had it's moments, it was too heavy handed and poorly done in quite a few respects, but I still enjoyed it.

So yeah, I dug it...but can't fault anyone for not liking it, as there's plenty 'o reasons.

I really enjoyed it as well. I'm not going to go run out and buy it, but it was an enjoyable movie in my opinion.

Truly a waste of 2 hours, and $3.95. I guess I just didn't "get it", because according to IMDb, it is 7/10 quality.

I musn't have gotten it, either. I like movies that make you think, but not movies that make you think until your head hurts.
