I love the arrow keys!

Many people complained about then early, but I just want to say I love them. Before I log off the board, I always mark the whole board read, then I come back and just hit the arrow keys to the threads I care about to catch up. I love it.

This board is like going from driving a Pinto with bad wheels and no brakes to driving a Lexus.

I'm starting to get the hang of it. Since we have sticky notes, I really like it because you can see where the stickies end and the recent posts begin. I'm so used to the other board, where the first few threads were always where the new one posts were, that the arrows come in handy.

Push the arrows to take you to the last post you read (or any post that was posted after you marked the board as read, or since you last logged in.)

I agree, so what if they don't look good, it's a neat feature...makes things easier...

Is there a way to mark an individual thread as being read? I would like to mark only the ones I have read, rather than having to mark the entire forum.

I believe they're referring to the arrow icons next to thread titles in the forum, not the arrow keys.

Yeah, sounds like the "go to first unread" icons.

What's with all the thread necromancy of late?

Check the date the tread was started, gottimd. We first got the icons when we switched boards a couple years ago...

Since we got the vBulletin software, yes (this thread was shortly after we got that software - thus SI's necromancy comment).

Some real timestamping, too. I think 13-16 were actually posted in this order: 16-15-14-13.

One of the more impressive displays I've seen.
