As for Gordon, I always like him back in the IndyCar days, and sorta follow him through the NASCAR series. He's a rebel in that he likes to do things his way, but he works hard and has talent.

NASCAR does not in fact consider driver weight, the car must weigh 3400 lbs with a full fuel load to be placed on the starting grid. Weight in a stock car has far less ramifications than it would in a Kart or Indy car because at the higher speeds weight carries more of an effect. Because NASCAR races run sub 190's at most tracks the difference in weight of the drivers has little effect on the car's performance.
