NFL-E Dave Ragone vs Akilli Smith?

I am actually looking forward to this years NFL Euro. edition of football starring Dave Ragone. It seems only a couple of years ago when I was really pimping Dave Ragone to all of Steeler Nation. But, it was not ment to be; Instead it was off to Texas to be forgotten behind David Carr.

I guess it will be The forgotten one Dave Ragone vs. The total nightmare Akilli Smith.

I dont consider Akili a bust yet. Not enough playing time in CINCY. I bet he'll be the heir to Brett Favre.

how bad could he do with the Bears? they really thrust an overwhelmed rookie QB into a bad Cincy team, what'd they think was gonna happen.

Just an FYI---Dave Ragone just broke the record for most consecutive passes without an interception in E-NFL History.

Looking forward to seeing him play June 11th in the E-Bowl.

Yay! The Amsterdam Admirals go to Germany's American football championship final!
(And of course in the first season since 2001 in which I didn't attend an NFL Europe game in Amsterdam...)

Even if Akili went on to have a good career from this point forward, he'd still be bust for the Bengals. You don't make a QB your first pick (what was he, top 5?) and end up releasing him a couple of years later without him being considered a bust. A top 5 QB should be your starting QB for a few years, at a minimum, not trying to show he has skills in NFL Europe 5 years later.

Of course he was. Where would you infer from what I wrote that I wouldn't consider him to be a bust?

Akili Smith proved he was pathetic this year in the NFL Europe meltdown. He was awful. I will grant that he had shit recievers, but he was just plain awful.
