Firefox question
Where is the favorites folder located at on the actual computer? I am trying to transfer the info to my laptop so I don't have to bookmark all my sites again. I tried copying the entire Mozilla Firefox Folder with no luck.

It will be in your Documents and Settings/User Name/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/??????.default/ directory in a file called bookmarks.html. Your Firefox preferences will also be in there (prefs.js file).

You don't have to go through all that trouble. Click on Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks. Once the window opens, click File -> Export and save it anywhere you want.

Dola...
And once you moved this html to your laptop, go through the same procedure, but select Import instead of Export and WALLA all of your bookmarks will be transferred to the laptop. Last edited by Antmeister : 11-29-2005 at 06:36 PM. |
