Well signing day netted a 65 OVR Athlete that I never talked to.
Cool Enough I suppose... Until he turned into a 77 QB with 86 speed and 82/88 TP/TA...the other ATH I had signed to be my QB o the future is now a RB. I made about 22 moves in total. Finding new life for some aging depth guys. Think I ahve to shed some 16 players in cut stage so that one will be tough! |

Player Cuts - No deadline for now
Cartman is out of town, I'm going to be, EF is going to be. Remember to do cuts in game, not on the site.

Good lord, I did not want to cut about half of the guys I just cut. Next year will probably be even harder.

My problem is things like "I have 5 extra WRs, and I have to cut 3 of them, but which 2 are more likely to pay off for me down the road, because they're all within 2 points of each other overall?". Or the infamous "he's only rated 68, but he has 90 speed, will that overcome the other bits?"

I had to cut 16 guys...it was tougher than it should have been deciding which 60 OVRR rated guy to cut..

I tried to cut low awareness guys. So basically my entire defense.

We had some really tough decisions to make especially the last 2 guys to cut, but USC is ready to advance.

What do you guys think about limiting recruiting classes to your number of seniors plus five?

How would you police it? I didn't make 25 scholarship offers, but the game made sure I ended up with 25 recruits.

That is exactly what I do in my solo dynasty. I'm good with whatever we decide although Greg brings up a good point. |

I'm cool with it if it is doable.

Two points. As someone who joined 2.5 seasons after the rest of the league my team is still far behind everyone elses. I am just now seeing my first recruiting class turn seniors.
That first class was laregly 60s rated guys with niche skill sets. As such it would put me at a pretty big disadvantage to those of you with more classes in the bag. I cut 16 guys. 5 of those were Seniors and 3 additional ones were Juniors. Plus there is the issue of the computer adding players in the final stage that you werent chasing.... |

My cuts are done..and I am fine with whatever, just realize, computer will sign what you don't.
I didn't realize I was at 83 players until tonight. I cut some seniors / jrs and busts..

Okay. It was just an idea. Perhaps not a good one.

Not sure if Cartman has done his cuts, and I'm going out of town, so we'll just put things on hold until this weekend.

My cuts are done.
What is the reasoning for limiting recruiting classes? |

One reason I can see is signing pretty good players that you don't actually need, which keeps them from other teams even if you are just going to cut them.

It's too bad you can't just set a limit in game for user scholarships.

Ok. I'm out for the week. Be back Sunday. I might have some internet connectivity on the ship, but no Xbox connectivity. Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend.

Okay, everyone has finished player cuts. If you haven't already, you can download your roster from the site and start recreating it in Teambuilder.

Actually, I've downloaded the rosters for all teams. I'm going to edit it so that the columns go in the same order they appear on Teambuilder. If people like, I can share that file when I'm done. Having them in the same order makes the entry phase easier.

I am back home but at work starting tomorrow through this week. I'll try to get my teams done soon, but it might take a few days.
Edit: Please share the file
