I don't trust that the Dems know anymore than we do, and we haven't really tried to out any of our own. I'm pretty sure no one in this game that doesn't have a role actually knows anything.

Honestly, if they wolves could double up on riders they should have been putting brutal clauses every day since the beginning of the day to tear up our CoTs if we should get a bead on anything.

I would slightly disagree here in that I think some of us crossed lines to vote Mrs. S and I'm not sure that Lathum, for instance, would consider doing such a thing. As long as the whole party over there isn't like that, then one oddball is fine. |

Sigh, I just don't have a bead on mccollins at all. PF put in the first vote and the timing of that makes me much more suspicious of him than mccollins at the end, having to rush, but I don't have a sense of either of them. This is obnoxious. The only people that have been talking enough for me to get a read are heinz, Pass, KWhit, and Lathum.

My only worry is the 6 of them just decide they're "going for it" and vote as a block. We're basically fubar'd at that point. My guess is that's what they're mulling over right now.

Though realistically, that is a very bad idea for them. But my guess is if they do, either you (Tyrith) or I are as good as lynched. Lathum *really* shouldn't want me dead though if he wants to get re-elected. I'm good, and he'd be basically screwed with all the votes for me he's dropped down.

If the democrats stick with the partisanism today...well, it's their fault if we lose because of it. I'm more than willing to vote for anyone in this party except for Pass but illini and PB have been so quiet I've got nothing and Render was generally helpful, so I'm disinclined to vote for him before the others.

haha, so you're saying if they vote me not to count on any help? I still trust you Tyrith, even if that's wrong. But yeah, I worry that the 2 of them that are wolves are going to get them to go party lines on your or me, and I'm fairly certain that's not going to produce a villager-beneficial result in either case. Our only hope if that happens is that the wolves over there get basically caught red-handed for that very stupid (from a villager sense) move. |

What happens, game-wise, if they simply vote out all the Republicans? They can still win by doing that, can't they?

They then have to beat the wolves. Here are the win conditions WINNING THE GAME Democrats and Republicans-- Eliminate the wolves. That is the ultimate condition. If you eliminate the wolves AND end the game as the more powerful party, you win a MAJOR WIN. If you end the game as the lesser powerful party, you still win a MINOR WIN. You also have the individual achievement award of finishing the game as the most influential politician in Washington. This will be a combination of the final Popular and Political polls. It's a title award only, an individual win that is good to get, but not the ultimate win that comes with the political party. Wolves-- Get to the point where you can control a Congressional vote to put the Wolf Party back in power. You do this by controlling open districts. No action is necessary to make this happen. Once the Wolves control as many districts as a combination of the other two political parties, the game will end in a WOLF victory. |

I just realized, the Wolves don't need a 1:1 ratio for people, just districts. That poses a major problem. 5 people have 2 districts right now and I don't feel all too hot about any of them (they aren't on my list which is me, Tyrith, RendeR for sure, KWhit likely)

So am I reading this right that by killing all of us off, they can get a minor victory?

If (and it's a BIG if), the wolves are 3 of those 5 spots, they could be a lynch and a night-kill from the Win.
Now I don't really think that's the case, but just want to stress that we need to look more at # of districts then people, something I hadn't even realized until seriously 3 minutes ago. |

Cronin, KWhit, Path
Those have been the wolves night targets. Cronin's kill benefitted Mrs. Schimidty KWhit's kill, had it worked, would've benefited Lathum Path's kill benefitted Collins and PF. |

Here is everyone that has more than one district and how they go it:
Pass (via Claphamsa's lynch) PurdueBrad (via Mrs. S's lynch which came to her via Cronin's night kill) Illinifan (via Mrs. S's lynch) Packerfanatic (via Path12's nightkill which came to him via Eaglefan's lynch) Mccollins (via Path12's nightkill) I believe that list is correct. I believe that is right |

So here's my thoughts on it, now that this is in the open: We know that with their first kill, they tried to get an immediate benefit for a wolf. Would they keep going that route, or try to mix it up?

Yeah you're correct. We can also add the near "get" of Lathum on KWhit's district (which could've also been a COT-bustin' attempt instead).
I look at Pass's, Illini's and PB's acquisitions as "passive" as in, if they're a wolf, they didn't "do" anything to get those districts. |

Also, based on CR's latest email to me, it seems like we still should pass something for the sake of our popularity.

Well, that's tough. I mean on one hand, Lathum would've benefitted of course, and with KWhit trusted by and large, that would've really been the only way to get that district, a night kill. But would they bother? If Lathum is indeed bad, it would've been a 2-fer benefit. I think it's hard to avoid that last night's kill was almost certainly a wolf-benefitting move. One of PF/Collins, combined with both not voting Mrs. S would have to be a wolf. |

Let's do just what somebody joked about earlier. Pass an open censure on wolves. You know, "wolves are bad, congress good and we will continue to fight them on every front, blah-blah-blah." No power involved and nothing the wolves tack on can really help them. It'll pass, be popular, and make it by the court.

Yeah but it gives the wolves a free rider. Is that worth it to avoid a popularity hit (I"m seriously asking that, I don't know if it is/isn't)

Wow, it looks like uncovering and posting that win condition was either killer or fucked myself. Heh. Though if the Dems haven't discussed that win condition either, I highly doubt the wolves were tricky enough to kill path with the hopes we'd be led astray by it.

Eh, you did what you had to do. Like I said, chesapeake and I were talking through it, and were kind of hoping it would get played down, making the wolves be more open about going for districts sooner, rather than waiting and getting them eventually. But FTR, your move makes me trust you a lot more. |

Just you and RendeR, actually. If you guys aren't worried, then maybe we shouldn't worry, either. Okay, I *am* worried, since I have tight polling, but if you're not going to be worried, I guess I can man up.

I really don't think, if I was a wolf, I'd risk slow-playing it. It'd just be too hard. I think the 3 kill attempts each had at least some benefit to them. It's obvious Cronin's did. KWhit's at the least was a COT-busting attempt, if not a move for Lathum. I'd be absolutely flabbergasted if path was to lead us astray. That'd be a *gigantic* risk.
Out of curiousity, when did you two first start discussing that win condition? |

Well, I'm more not worried since I have a power to save my ass in an election, like Lathum did. So I have a free pass basically, but I only have 1 left, I used one last election just in case. |

The thing is, they could kill whoever took path's districts next night, and gain the same amount. We started discussing it this morning, I think. I had a lot of suspicion of Tyrith, because he mentioned this rule in the thread pretty casually, and my thinking is that wolves generally know the rules better than villagers (I didn't realize that until he mentioned it). So that heightened my suspicion of him a little. |

Yeah but the districts would likely split I'd imagine, so they'd have to be on both sides of it. Like if PB died tonight, I'd expect Tyrith to get the 4th and Illini to get the 5th. So even doing it that way takes a lot longer.

I would suggest puting me up for Speaker of the house tonight. Packer obviously has heat on him as a possible wolf so everyone is going to want him gone.
I'm guarenteed re-election (I have 2 uses of my auto-save ability) and I could use the boost in popularoity that it will bring me. Also it brings the Speaker position back to the Republican side which should boost us all in general. I can put forth a bill as well. I'm thinking of a couple ideas and will post them in a bit. thoughts? |
