Nope, he sounds like he's on lockdown. I suppose it's possible some of his buddies get in his ear before Signing Day, but at this point I'm conceding that there's little chance Washington flips him.

Funny the info the different fanbases get. We've been told that Ryan Turman is his best friend.

To be fair, when you are 14, your best friend will likely be the son of a former NFL coach.

Kylie Fitts will also be announcing tomorrow

UCLA just moved it's press conference to 5:15 to announce the signings on NSD, back from 4:30. EVD is scheduled to announce at 5:15

5:15 PST? I wonder how many rumors will be floating around the internet that day.

Badgers land former South Carolina recruit, #1 dual threat JUCO QB, Tanner McEvoy. It's fun to beat out the likes of Oregon, Florida and West Virginia. Not too shabby. Now we've got four legit players battling out for the QB position come fall. Tanner will have a tough time as he won't be there this Spring but if he's as good as advertised..

McEvoy is a Jersey kid. Watch his film and it's clear he's not a QB from his mechanics. He could get by decently on athleticism but he'd be wise to switch over to WR ASAP where he could be a big time player.

So the mormon church changing the age on missions to 18 is going to be felt at BYU this season as we will probably bring in a rough class compared to past classes.

The major effect has been the major targeting of JUCO talent. Because the kids that are going to go on a mission at 18 will not sign out of high school and go straight to the mission field BYU has an unusually high amount of open scholarships this year and next but will have next to nothing come 2015..

This is going to be in an interesting dynamic, more than I thought it would be.

Sounds like Ramsey switched to Florida State.

Hatcher seems like he doesnt want to come out and say he's going to Kentucky. I bet his announcement comes via the fax wherever he goes

It would be quite a blow to UCLA to lose EVD after they were able to get him to look around from USC.

Only USC can say they "lost" him, and only if he doesn't recommit.

That is semantics, but it wasn't Notre Dame that got him to decommit, but UCLA. Usually if you can do that, you are sitting pretty with a kid.

That perception would have a lot more validity if EV had only visited UCLA. Besides, there's a pretty big difference between publicly committing to a school, and having another school do enough recruiting to get you to reconsider and decided to take all five official visits. And that's giving you the benefit of the doubt that it was solely the efforts of UCLA coaches that caused EV to reconsider, which I highly doubt.

Kiffin making a last-minute push for some DB's, including Jermaine Kelly. Probably too late to flip him from Washington, but you never know - it's local, it's a school he had early interest in, and it's USC.

EV visited UCLA only, back in late Nov/early December after he opened back up. Enough time passed that he decided to look at more options.

You may doubt all you want. Just like if/when Jack signs his LOI tomorrow, it will always say that he never wavered on his commitment, despite you maintaining that he always has wavered on it

USC was always the concern with Kelly. It's probably too late and Kelly is one of UW's best kids.

Thought he dragged it out... my bad. I do remember a lot more smoke and rumors floating around regarding Arik, but reading between the lines it does seem like a lot was due to the unique situation with Armond (who was just signed by the Patriots fwiw).

Not a ton of info in this story, but a weird fluctuation where Indiana has basically had 2x the number of D1 recruits for like 5 years in a row - Experts baffled by state's surge in Div. I talent | The Journal Gazette

PS - how are the rumors of USC recruits defecting out there? A Ty Isaac to ND one seems to be popping up, along with the Ramsey, Hatcher, Prevot, and potential Falah defections.

If Jack wasn't wavering, he did an awfully good job pretending to by texting other recruits that he was going to flip to UW. Word is his mom strongly preferred UCLA, but Jack would have been happy to stay local.

It's a moot point with EV since it's looking highly likely now he's a lock for UCLA, but I'm not following whatever point you're trying to make. He visited UCLA & decommitted from USC, but was still open as he also visited Washington (3 weeks after UCLA), Notre Dame & Alabama. If it'd only been about UCLA, he wouldn't have bothered with the other visits and wouldn't be waiting until tomorrow to announce.

Yeah, his dad says he is sticking with Washington, but his coach said to expect a big surprise at his announcement. Lots of back-up plans being activated by Kiffin now - I expect most if not all will be too late.

Ramsey and Hatcher are officially gone. Prevot and Falah are likely defections, but who knows as they haven't leaked it like the others did yesterday.

Isaac isn't going anywhere. He has been firing out shots on Twitter defending USC and talking about being a true Trojan.

WVU has gotten a couple of good, early signing day surprises in S Jeremy Tyler and Juco WR/RB Mario Alford. If we hold on to what we have committed, I'll be pretty happy with our haul (although I wish we could have gotten a big DL or two).

WR Shelton Gibson is one to watch, as he has been flirting with Tennessee a little bit (but they seem to have 94958 receivers committed already).

It would be kind of nice if there was any sort of positive drama for Michigan on NSD, but they seem to have the most boring NSD for getting as many top recruits that they do.

I'll just go ahead and say it straight out: if Ole Miss doesn't end up on probation over this signing class then I'll have a new biggest shock in the history of sports for my lifetime.

My belief that this all on the up & up is pretty much <1%.
