Yeah, I'm pretty interested in this move.

There's no highly rated receivers in this class? I see the best one going around 15th.

I think Cleveland will draft Wentz at 2 with the goal of sitting him for a year and trying to do things "right". If they don't draft him, I think it will be because they traded down. People are getting pretty enamored with Wentz and it could be possible. For the long term, I think Wentz would be their best choice too. He comes from a very NFL offense, throws a pretty ball, seems confident and is probably the most pro ready.. If they can sit him a year, get some decent production out of RGIII, trade RGIII next season for picks....

Well, then we might have to respect the Browns.

Saints sign Nick Fairley to a one year deal.

Apparently, his one-year "prove it" deal with the Rams did not lead to some team giving him a huge multi-year deal so that he could get fat and lazy. (NFL front offices are getting smarter).

So he signed another one-year "prove it" deal. Seems like a good opportunity for both sides. He gets another chance to prove he deserves big money, and the Saints get a high-upside player at a position of need with no long term risk.

Yeah, not a great crop this year.

Treadwell seems to be the top overall WR but there's (lack of) speed concerns and that brutal injury that should have healed but, y'know, y'never know.

Coleman from Baylor seems to be next guy in line but late first probably.

Dying to see what Leonte Carroo can put together if he ends up with a real QB in the pros. His production level last season was insane when he was actually on the field, even before accounting for Rutgers' terrible QB play.

I'm unreasonably excited for the Karlos Dansby signing in Cincinnati. he's the one they should have signed back in 2014 instead of Harrison, but he's still got it and they finally came to their senses.

2.) Dak Prescott - Rated as a borderline day 2 pick

3.) Wentz - Most similar quarterbacks: Akili Smith, Schaub, Harrington, EJ Manuel, Henne, Locker, Flacco.

4.) Lynch

5.) Cook

Kaep trade to Denver seems to have fallen though. SF not willing to pay part of his salary to play for Denver, he's not willing to take a pay cut, and Denver is not willing to pay him $10 million+ All of those seem like pretty reasonable positions.

As a fan, I'd like to see him running Kelly's offense, so I hope he stays in SF. And, if you are Denver, I think that Sanchez in Kubiak's system is enough of a "non-dumpster fire" option that you can avoid having to overpay for a QB.

It's not over yet, just more posturing from all sides.

I'd bet Kaep gets traded to Denver during the draft, if not sooner.

Apparently the Broncos are kicking Manziel's tires, though they'd want him to go through another pretend rehab first. Probably just a dance to pressure Kaepernick into a willingness to take a salary cut. Elway's not going to bring the circus to town and risk the locker room.

Dark Prescott reminded me a whole lot of Tim Tebow. Without the anti-right wing fan fare, of course.

Man, you should turn off Fox News occasionally. The media fucking LOVES Tebow. Every time there is a QB roster spot, seems like there are stories about Tebow making a comeback.

Why would Kaepernick take a salary cut? Isn't his $11.9 million guaranteed in San Francisco?

I'm not going to speculate if Oakman is guily or not, but what a terrible time for this story to come out. Not that there ever is a good time for a story like this to come out.

Don't think the Kaep deal is gong to happen. Report says they told him 7million and he needs to compete for starting job against Sanchez. Don't blame him for saying screw it for the money but probably would have been better to jump to Denver for a fresh start. Could be a dumpster fire out in SF this you. I would be fine trading a third for Gleenon or drafting Paxton Lynch with Denver.

Police statement:

Quote:
The 34-year-old male victim's vehicle was traveling eastbound on Sophie Wright Place when his vehicle was hit in the rear by a Hummer H2. The collision caused the victim's Mercedes G63 SUV to strike the rear of a Chevrolet Impala who was traveling along with the victim. The male victim and the driver of the Hummer exchanged words at which time the driver of the Hummer produced a handgun and shot the male victim multiple times and his 34-year-old wife twice in the right leg. The male victim was pronounced dead on the scene. The female victim was transported to the local hispotal. The 30-year-old driver of the hummer is in custody and being interviewed by police. The gun used has been recovered.

Was the officer in the impala that was supposed to be "with" Will Smith?

That seemed odd that they mentioned the car without noting anything about the driver. Because presumably if there was an altercation the Impala driver would have gotten out.

While it looks as though there may be another angle / element to the story, prior to seeing that it also struck me that an incident involving a guy 6'3 283 might be a little out of the ordinary circumstances too.

I thought the Impala driver was either Pierre Thomas or that cop in question.

Fair enough, I haven't seen the guy (and had to Google to find Smith's measurements obviously)

Rumors of a three team mega-deal are brewing between the Browns, Bills and Broncos. Gist of it is that the Broncos get Tyrod Taylor, the Bills get the Browns #2 pick, and the Browns get a bunch of draft picks.

nothing much on mainstream sites about it yet, so consider it an extremely sketchy rumor

The Bills get the #2 overall for Tyrod Taylor?

For how many years is Taylor signed? He's worth more than people realize because he is a starting caliber QB getting paid peanuts. But I think of "more than people realize" as, like, a second round pick. Not the #2 overall pock.

Even if you get the Broncos entire draft I'm not sure I love that deal for the Browns. They have to get a QB. There won't be any of the top 3 left towards the end of the first where the Bills and Broncos are picking. Unless they really feel like Goff, Wentz and Lynch are sure fire busts, I'm not sure why they make this deal.

Proven Browns QB strategy: trade to the back of the first and pick the turd that slides the farthest.

Just through this coming season. His contract for 2017 becomes voidable if he starts.

The price seems far too high - probably the Browns would get a lower first-rounder back, as well as other picks.

Does the rumor address who has to room with Manziel?
