FL are 17 pt favorites vs the Hogs today.

I was hoping for Trask to be quarantined but no luck. Can't disagree with the spread even if HC Pittman was active. I will be happy for the Hogs to show a competent performance on both sides of the field and beat the odds.

Great win, yesterday. Iowa has flipped the switch. But again, we have 2 bad losses to start the season. This is one of the things that frustrates me. Ferentz treats the first games like preseason in the NFL, and it can be costly. This year it is a shot at the Championship game.

I don't want to be Debbie Downer, tarcone, but you didn't beat down 2019 Minnesota. We seemed to have dropped off a cliff this season. Our defense has to be one of the worst in the nation, our specials teams is a joke, and our offense looks like one going through a coordinator change which is unfortunate with some of the skill players we have. Finally, the coaching has been abysmal.

There is another dad on my daughter's softball team that's a huge Michigan guy. He says they'll never fire Harbaugh. He's a Michigan Man. The fans love him whether he goes 11-0 or 3-8.

B1G Championship could be Indiana vs. Purdue.

That would mean Indiana is in the playoffs. They play tOSU next.

Since most athletic programs are in a tough position financially and can't deal with the buyouts of contracts, I had an idea: trades

For example, the University of South Carolina has traded Wil Muschamp and a statue of George Rogers to .. the University of Michigan for Jim Harbaugh.

Just finished the Huskies game and I can breath again. Should never have been that close. The special teams was abysmal, and that is putting it nicely. The defense was great save for one drive they couldn't stop the run, especially in the second half. The running game was on point. Lake treated Morris with kid gloves, but that is OK as he didn't need to do much plus his receivers didn't do him any favors with several drops. I also like how Lake took a number of chances on 4th down, liked the aggression.

Get the special teams nonsense cleaned up and I think we are going to have a great year.

That spot in the UW game was atrocious. But the refs also didnt cause Gebbia to throw for 85 yards on 45%

What's a gently used Les Miles go for?

(Honestly, I've got some hope for him though. Last year was perfectly on schedule: 3 wins and bringing in some good recruits. But this year has been disappointing to say the least. We're probably going 0-fer and it's going to hit the recruiting hard. That said, he's playing younger guys and has enough rope to do that without going the JuCo route and screwing up our scholarship numbers like the last 2 coaches. So, hopefully, this year with COVID was a one step back to take 2 steps forward next year)

Bailey Hockman has been a pleasant surprise for NC State this year, filling in for the injured Devin Leary. Leary was lighting it up until he broke his leg against Duke.

$13.3m was the reported pricetag (pending any negotations)

Iowa had cause to fire Ferentz and avoid a buyout. But the major donors in Iowa LOVE him. And KF gives back. In fact, KF used the nephew of one of the biggest donors as a punter for 2 seasons and the kid was terrible. KF finally felt some heat from the fan base and brought in a grad transfer. So we had 2 punters on scholarship.

KF is at Iowa until he retires.

FSU has been playing with a JV roster for a couple of weeks now, and I see guys from Syracuse, Louisville, and Pitt have just opted out. I expect the end of the season is going to look like what bowl practices would be if all the crappy teams got to participate instead of shut down for the holidays.

That checks out.

I love football.

I enjoy college football.

But we'd almost certainly be better off in the aggregate if it didn't exist and we just had minor league football instead.

I'm not gonna die on that hill, but you could investigate any major program and find tons of stories like this.

Sun Belt has two teams in the Top 25 with Louisiana rejoining this week. Big game up next against App State, a team they have never beaten, and at 5-1 in contention for Coastal's division

It's regrettable to me insofar as I enjoyed Muschamp's post-game rants about disappointing the opposing teams' fan bases, referring to them as "these people". Hopefully, I'll get to hear some more of those rants at his next destination.

Many of you likely missed the greatest quarter in college FB history, which included this sequence:

Coastal Carolina is 0-6 lifetime against App State including 3 games since joining the Sun Belt. I don't think any were particularly close. App State is what Coastal wants to be-ranked many times over the years, 5-0 in bowl games, etc.

Interestingly enough our freshman QB nearly played for App State instead of Coastal and their head coach is a big fan of him. The potential bit of good news for Coastal is that they may be playing against App St's backup QB today. Chants will need both their offense and defense to play with as few errors as possible if they want to win.

Game is on ESPN2 at noon today.

There's no way in hell I'm going to watch FSUs JV team give up 75 to Clemson. I'll be watching IU/OSU and be thankful FSU was the noon game so I can put it out of my mind early today.
