Chants led 14-0 early in 1st Q, and never looked back winning 59-14. That clinches the Sun Belt East for them, and a spot in the title game. Crazy season continues!

RU down 23-13 at the half, rally to win 37-30 over Purdue. Schiano has 30+ pts a game from the same offense Ash had averaging 3.

I'm all for opportunity, but that was a really bad kickoff.

They've made sure to beat everyone over the head with the fact that she was instructed to squib it

edit to add: I saw my first female kicker at the high school level some 30 years ago so I don't exactly see it as any particular big deal. If the quality was there, college teams would run Gus the Mule out there without blinking.

LSU and Texas A&M are so terrible. These teams have gone 4 and out twice each in the last 50 seconds. If A&M is the 5th best team in the country, they need to shrink the playoffs to 2 teams.

You know what sucks? Iowa is a legit team this year. And we lost the 1st 2 games because of shitty coaches. But then we won tha last 5 because of legit coaches.

Quit playing the NFL model and realize this is college football.

Death and taxes also remain constant.

We REALLY need a Vandy vs Kansas matchup this season.

Huskies come out and outscore Utah 24-0 in the second half to win. Dylan Morris led a great game winning drive and the defense was nasty again. We now control our own destiny with Oregon losing to osu yesterday.

There may be other college football coaches who are more overrated than Kyle Whittingham, but he's definitely up there.

I'm sure it's COVID, but the fact that Schiano with only a handful of transfers and entirely different coaching staff already has Rutgers looking like a different program is impressive. That team was really bad for the past few years, Chris Ash was not a head coach but still got a ton of time to prove that fact.

Like an NCAA tourney play-in game so one of us can pretend we won a game, even if we all know it's a farce.

Coastal Carolina up to #14 in both polls and Liberty back in at #25, making their game in December one of the most unlikely big games between ranked teams ever.

2020 strikes again, as Michael Penix tore his ACL on Saturday, so we'll see what Jack Tuttle can do now. He was a 4-star recruit, so fingers crossed that he'll do okay against Wisconsin.

Hopefully FSU's season can be put out of its misery - unless Dabo whines so much that he forces FSU to play a month after its last game. We definitely lost fewer games than I expected... even if that's because 3 or 4 got canceled!

There may be asterisks to W-L, records broken, the national champion etc. but I'm thankful football is being played this season. Regardless of all the faults, it helped bring some normalcy this year.

[Dan Patrick Show] There is speculation Northwestern-Minnesota and Ohio State-Michigan State will likely be canceled. Buckeyes wouldn't be eligible for Big Ten title game and are desperate to field a team for the game.

Which in turn could lead to a Pennix-less Indiana landing in the conference title game

Following a recommendation from the conference Athletic Director football subcommittee, the league’s Athletic Directors have voted to preserve the integrity of the ACC Football Championship Game by evaluating each of the three teams in contention (Clemson, Miami and Notre Dame) based on a nine-game conference schedule. As a result, Clemson and Notre Dame will conclude the regular season this weekend.

Wake Forest, which was scheduled to play Notre Dame on Dec. 12, will now play at Louisville. Florida State will play host to Duke on Saturday, Dec. 12, and Florida State will travel to Wake Forest on Dec. 19.

Edit:

All time conference championship berths:
ND:1
Michigan:0

Wow that is great news and barring a disaster against Syracuse that is a big benefit to ND. That Wake Forest game smelled upset about to me and now they get a extra week to rest and game plan for the ass kicking they’ll inevitably receive at the hands of the Tigers.

This was meant to try to assure a Clemson-ND rematch, with avoiding further Clemson-FSU hostility by removing that game.

"Integrity" has zero to do with anything in play here, whether the moves make sense or not.

I'm torn between FSU playing Clemson and losing by 70 but getting 2 or 3 Clemson guys suspended for the ACC championship game, or just not playing Clemson.

ESPN Gameday coming to Coastal Carolina for the first time for Sat's game against Liberty. The game is at 2 pm, and last I heard, on ESPNU which would suck.

Wow that would be pretty crazy if that game happens KS. I'm really hoping Liberty can still play, but getting BYU in their place would be pretty great too. Going to be hard to coach then up on 3 days though. Coastal has tweeted that as of now its still Liberty, but that could change tomorrow morning.

And its now official-BYU coming to play Coastal on Saturday. Crazy season continues! I would like the Coastal/Liberty rivalry to continue now that Liberty is up to the same level in football.

This should be a fun game, I worry about adequate defensive prep for BYU as diverse as the CCU offense is, could be a shootout and it will definitely confirm the winner as a legit top 10 team IMO

Yeah I agree. I think defenses are going to be fooled from time to time, leading to some big plays. Good luck to your guys!

I was reading an article on ESPN about the Coastal/BYU game, and the BYU AD was talking about setting up a home/home with Coastal now. I'm not sure they ever would have met except in a bowl game and now a potential home/home. Cool.

Yeah, I think that is a good move for both, give CCU some cache with one of the better known G5 programs, that has a large national footprint and gives BYU a solid up and coming G5 opponent with top 20 potential again next year. Win/win

MO beat the Hogs 50-48.

It wasn't shown on any of my streaming channels but followed it on ESPN gamecast and a Hogs forum.

Hogs were doing well until defense kinda fell apart 4Q. Hogs scored with 50 secs left, went for it and got the 2, and went up 48-47. Apparently we missed 2 XP and that's why we went for 2. The Tigers got into FG range around 20 secs left and won the game.

Not going to cry about it. This season has far surpassed many people's expectations and more important than the W-L record, is that the Hogs have been competitive in the games they should have been competitive in vs the previous years.

FL QB transfer Franks did not play so we tried a new kid KJ Jefferson. He went 18/33 for 274 and 3 TD. This bodes well for us in the future as Franks will likely try for the NFL.

AL is next so that should really be fun.

Harrison f'n Bailey.

And if UT didn't have a set of double digit (cumulative) IQ coaches , they might have been almost vaguely relevant this season.

He's a freshman, he won't be perfect by any means ... but he gives you a CHANCE to win a games.

Watching him drive UT -- despite being hamstrung by the shit show coaching & playcalling -- is almost in a way MORE frustrating than watching the useless sack that has been at QB. With Gitmo, it didn't matter much what they called, he'd fuck it up anyway.
