She allegedly sings. I'm more concerned with her bouncing.

She is studio created singer that started out in the Christian market(they more you know about her, the more you shake your head about that tidbit) and got lucky to hook up with the right people who could promote her in a way to the masses. Having her first hit be about kissing a girl didn't hurt.

She is only really good for visual eye candy when she wants to look like a normal person. When she dresses up, you understand why Russel Brand, who admit to having a thing for prostitutes, ended up marrying her. I think she looks more like a prostitute on LSD when she wants to be. She wears A LOT of make up during those times and the outfits are equally goofy. Again, when she wants to look normal she's rather attractive. Completely devoid of any real talent, but attractive.

Wait, that song about kissing a girl, did that come out back in the 90s or somewhere around there? That seems vaguely familiar. Oh if she's married to that dude, then I guess no talent, plus, no talent should equal some pretty good offspring.

Very interesting. Sounds like she is no Lady Ga Ga then. Thanks for the info man!

That was '90s SUPERSTAR Jill Sobule! God the '90s sucked for music.

The 90's version is by Jill Sobule. Perry's version isn't a cover. Ga Ga is another one of my rants, but at least she can pull off decent singing. Perry is "not worthy to be in AI's top 10," or "Lose your faith in humanity that she'll make more money than you being that bad."

Thank you. I still don't get the attraction that everyone has of her when a video comes out. We can see bouncing jugs in a lot of stuff.

Oh, dang, so this is a completely different 'kisses a girl' song then. Man, this is too much to keep up with. The 90s were devoid of a decent amount of good music. There was some, but, not like previous decades.

I think Katy has a pretty decent voice. I don't think it shows well with the music she releases, but she can sing.

The wife and I thought she was pretty bad on SNL this week. She sounds fine as long as the auto-tune is nearby...

Please show me a live performance that can actually back up this claim. I'm really trying to think of a singer who is marketed for the masses that sings worse. And no, Bob Dylan isn't marketed for the masses. People buy his stuff just based on his name alone.

Remind me not to solicit your opinion on music in the future. The '90s and the '70s are by far the two best decades for music, imo.

The difference on discussing the 90s is if you are only talking about the mainstream 90s music or the indie scene. The analysis can changed greatly on that fact.
