Seriously. Can't we just make "The Crew" into a political party? Wait, or were we the Cougars? Eh, whatever.

It was a classic game. The fake reveal, the first instance of in-game Ketchup Porn. Path on comedic fire. Pass nearly getting lynched like 4 times.

Plus, digging back through, I found a new sig.

The Cubicle game

Pass - The reveal was when we killed off the Crew and I got caught fishing for Jackal, who then couldn't be converted. So I revealed as the fish myself.

Hell, seems I have better luck fake revealing than with actual reveals.

I hear ya -- my fake 'Arcane Collector' reveal was pretty sweet, but when I'm making an actual reveal, I don't think people buy it much (though I can't remember when the last time I made an actual reveal was).

I'm at this point in the game now:

Speaking of that - I need to post a thread in GD - I'm headed left-coast-ways.

I think I can use some players. I was thinking about 20 would be good. And it will be a regular long game, meaning there is a possibility it could lead up to and past your trip. If you're going to be unavailable after the second Tuesday (Day Five or Six), I think I would sit this one out if I were you. Only alternative would be to arrange for someone to take your place at the point at which you will no longer be available, but I don't know if you would want to go to that much trouble. I appreciate the interest, though.

Conditionals are fine. The weekend will be a long "night" from Friday's end of day deadline to Monday morning's end of night deadline.

I am fairly certain interns will be involved at some point. I will be adding in some rules tonight, and the basic framework, although I will probably expand it further over the weekend.

Two deadlines per day, a day and a night cycle. The day cycle is the voting cycle, for the most part, while the night cycle is the action cycle (as in most day-night WW games).

The night time deadline (end of Day cycle) is 9 p.m. EST/6 p.m. PDT, while the day time deadline (end of Night Cycle and start of new Day) is 7 a.m. EST/4 a.m. PDT.

As noted before, conditionals will be allowed throughout.

Whew, just finished reading all of the Cubicle. It was funny how different the tone of my posts were when talking to Alan -- half the time I was attacking him, and the other half trying to send the message that a truce would be a good idea. And the fact that cronin scanned Lathum looked much more obvious, too, and if people caught on to that, they shouldn't have followed me on Farrah. Great game, and I can't wait to play CR's next one!

That game waqs as much fun to run as it seemed to be to play in. I actually think it sets expectations too high. I'm not sure I'll catch the same sorta breaks in this one that created a lot of the drama from that one, although I do still think my idea of having two wolf teams that actually know who the other wolves are was a neat little idea (and makes re-reading it with that knowledge in hand like a whole new read).

Good group so far. Hoping to get around six more at least. As I say above, I think 20 is the optimal number.

I can't speak for LSG or Telle, but olie has offered to help me run the game, which will be a great help for those times when I am away at work. So she will be involved in the game, but not as a player. Feel free to go recruit LSG and Telle, though.

Going forward, I will post in red.

I have added the rules into Post #3. They are long, so please take some time to look them over and ask me questions.

I am considering delaying the official start of the game to Tuesday, just so everyone has a chance to review those rules. Please let me know if that will be an issue with any schedules. Thanks!

Yeah, and on that note, BTW, I will start every cycle with a post detailing exactly what needs to be done with respect to votes and what not. The only additions to that list would be any votes started that very day by your own Congress.

So you need only refer to the first post of every cycle (or to your PM, if you receive one) to know what to do.

A quick syllabus of the rules; i.e. what's important

Win Conditions

Good guys--find the wolves, have the most powerful party
Bad guys--control enough congressional districts (1:1) to vote in the Wolf Party

Day cycle actions

Vote for a Wolf (starting Day Two)
Vote on Bills Proposed In Congress

Night cycle actions

None, unless you have special roles

Term actions (every two days)

Select Speaker (public)
Select Leader & Liaison (in political thread)
Select presidential candidate (presidential term only)

Leader

Propose bills for party
PM Slurry/Support actions to me

Liaison

Handles PM communications with other party

Speaker

Can call the vote and second in line to President

President

Sign passed bills into law

Wolves

Kill people at night, duh.

Elections

Congress re-elected every two days (don't have to do anything)
President elected every four days (don't have to do anything)

Only members of that political party are allowed to go into the thread, either to read or post, until the end of the game!

For those who weren't around during the survivor game, you should be aware that doing that thing that lets you know how many posts each person has in a thread means that you will show up as 'viewing' the thread.

Heh...didn't know that. Incidentally, yes, it was the Survivor game I was thinking of when I decided to go with separate party threads.

I am going on vacation starting Wednesday. I would really like to not have to deal with WW on my vacation. Based on what happened in Survivor, I am going to say that the odds of anyone actually cheating here are slim. Based on seeing multiple games, I know that we can have heated discussions without anything happening. If something happens, please assume good faith in your fellow player, alert CR (and if he wishes anyone who he has designated during the day) and work it out. I was going to post a heavy handed version of this, but realized that that would be unnecessary, as we have a great group of players.

Thank you in advance for creating what will, no doubt, be an awesome game to read upon my return.

Yeah, I am pretty sure I am going to go Tuesday. It just makes more sense to let the players digest the rules a bit and ask questions. I can also then get PMs out tomorrow night and have protracted Day One cycle ending Tuesday night.

Plus, olie is returning from vacation on Tuesday, which means she will be able to help more starting that day.

Thank you in advance for creating what will, no doubt, be an awesome game to read upon my return.

~BK, YFWWM

Thank you, BK. Yes, I agree, this is a very solid group, and we have a strong WW community in place in any case. So I am not too concerned about violations of the party threads. But I would definitely welcome any reports of suspicious activity. All in all, though, we're on the honor system here, and I am confident it won't be an issue.
