Well, we beat em, but they still have most of the hell in them I would imagine.
Final was 45-21. We had a shot to really blow them out at one point, but they got this amazing interception in the end zone on what looked like a sure TD and after that, they were kind of motivated it seemed. Our defense wasn't good really at all, only generating one pass defensed. No sacks, no interceptions, nothing really that good to say about their performance. Offensively, we were humming along pretty good though, and that's why we won as handily as we did. Next week we get to try and hit the century mark against an FCS team. I fully expect to turn them into cumberland college, especially with 8 or more recruits in house to witness it.

Illinois played us tough for the first half and then we kicked their trash in third and rotated our backups in at the 4th and they tried to get feisty.
I moved Rowland into the starting QB role this week and he was responsible for 7 TD's this game, 5 in the air and 2 on the ground. We had QB and WR recruits at the game and blowing the doors off passing is what we needed to happen and it did. This game should bump us up to a better ranking.

FAU is ready to advance.
We have made a few personnel moves and its starting to pay dividends. SO Athlete Shawn WHite is playing some WR in addition to his outstanding play at FS and quickly became our leading receiver this game. We also benched our QB who led us to an undefeated season last year in lieu of his back up who has no ratings that appear better but the offense just seems to hum better with him in the game. |

Is it just a given at this point that team builder teams will never have statistical rankings for recruiting?
This is a killer. |

We managed to give up 3 points to an FCS team, which irks me, but overall it was a smooth ride to a 94-3 win. Freshman QB Chris Frederick was 9/10 for 171 and 4 TD, enough to get a POG award. He is 34/42 for 542 and 9 scores on the year now.. Getting pretty excited to hand him the reins next year. I am crossing my fingers that we get a few commits out of the 11 (I think it was 11) recruits we had in house.

Best times for me to play:
Daytime Tuesday, Weds or Thursday. Or, I can play any evening after 9 PM although Weds or Thursday would be best. |

Our "No Fly Zone" secondary had their best game of the year as we shut down Duke's offense for the most part. Our own offense except for their 1st play where Gilmore threw a terrible pick was very good. Gilmore was 16 of 19 as we built a 35-3 lead at halftime. We called off the dogs in the 2nd half and won the game 38-10.

I could do no wrong in the 1st half.
Went to my back up QB who was my starter last year in the 2nd half and he stunk up the joint. Quickly put the starter back in and the starter couldnt regain the mojo throwing 4 INTs in the 2nd half. We won easily but I couldnt challenge you 90 point guys. |

We sent some girls to greet him and took him out to dinner at the local Hooters. Apparently that and 100k a year "stipend" was enough to convince him.
Kinda surprised he decided to sign though, but definitely happy to have him.

Our "No Fly Zone" defense was dominating Michigan State and our offense was doing enough to get by. Then, midway through the 2nd Lawrence Gilmore left the game with a broken toe. Kyle Davis, last year's backup, came in and he got our offense REALLY humming. 300 yards later and 4 TD passes it was a blowout. We were up 56-0 and I was very happy. Stewart had a few incredible offensive plays that resulted in his first 100 yard receiving day. Then, the play of the day happened. Stewart came up and popped a Michigan State receiver just after he caught the ball... it bounced around and right into the arms of another MSU receiver who took it the distance. I was pissed our shut out was over. I was even more upset when I realized Stewart broke his ribs on the hit and will miss 5 weeks

Oof. Giving up a TD when a shutout is imminent is so deflating. Having a significant injury to a star player on the same play.. Salt that wound.

We lost to #11 Oregon by 3. 21-18. It was more of a defensive game, where we were slugging it out. What lost us the game was the turnovers, I threw 3 pics, 2 of them to their Star CB who I thought I had beat both times.
Our offense couldn't punch it into the end zone and we also missed a 47 yard FG. We lost this game with 3 recruits in the stands

Well we had a better game against Miss State than we did against the FCS team.
779 yards of offense and 98 points. We only saw 3rd down 6 times in the game. Jim Fry, the Punter I signed a few years back and converted to RB, he had 9 carries for 108 and 2 scores in the 4th quarter. Mississippi State actually ran like 15 more plays than me. We had 1040 yards including return yards. Quite satisfied with the performance to say the least.

It was an epic game too. Kodos was running all over our defense but our pass defense was amazing - not that he had to throw it much with the way his run game was working.

Even with a chance to adjust earlier in the game, I couldn't stop Indiana's run game and Kodos ran all over us again. We went down to the wire but he ran out time and kicked a game winning FG as time expired to get a 31-28 win. Congrats Kodos.

Wow. What a replay! Indiana gets their first win over USC, 31-28, on a late field goal after a clock-eating final drive. Great game, EF27! It won't mean much if we don't win the inevitable rematch in the Big Ten Championship game.

I finally have 4 corners (5 when Stewart is healthy) with great closing speed who can shut down receivers. My safeties are really good too. I need to figure out something to slow down your run game before our re-match (assuming it happens.)

Your safety just closes on guys who look open so quickly. Anything downfield is rolling the dice. And you have always had great stick skills when it comes to making the pick. Thankfully, I was able to get a stop on D after you picked off that one downfield pass.

I have terrible stick skills on picks. Every one of them was a CPU controlled player. I'm good at rushing the passer and generally stick to that on defense. Edit: Maybe, I shouldn't admit that
