It's funny how he can compare being down 3-1 to an 8 seed to being down 2-0 after losing both home games to the defending conference champions.
You're probably still thinking the Tigers are going to make the post season this year too. |

actually, the I hate baseballa nd the Tigers, and I dont care for barry sanders either. I am a realist, and know what I am talkin abuot, and the Magic weren't a typical eight seed. And NJ played the bucks and Celtics, wwoooooowww!!! watch out!!! tough teams!!! Detroit is "battle tested" and will show up the rest of the series. I am confident that the Magic or sixers, would kill NJ

It's not hard to figure out why, you've spoken with me on AIM before so you know my screen name And it's funny because this guy has you believing the Nets won 10 games this year and have no business in the Eastern Conference Finals. This team won 49 games, had the #2 defense in the league and was arguably the conference's best offensive team all year. I'm a Nets fan and I will give props to Detroit's defense, it's stifling. They've given the Nets two extremely tough games and the Nets are very lucky to be coming out of Detroit with the two wins. Not once in this entire thread has he given even a little credit to New Jersey, and it's pathetic.

I think there are some serious issues that need to be addressed, that's for sure. At least he'll have a lot of extra time soon with no more Pistons to watch.

This has nothing to really do with being swept over losing in an earlier round. The difference is that Qwik didn't start up a thread whining about the officials and about how under-rated the Sixers were. If you want to cry for attention over your team and act like a moron than you better be able to take what you get when they lose. Mrs Butterworth started the crap, now has to deal with it.

Well then you need to deal with the fact that there are other fans of the team, who didn't start this thread and have absolutely nothing to do with Mrs. Buttercup, but are going to defend their team when it is attacked by others. I have nothing against trash talking, especially if it's in good fun, but don't expect Piston fans to sit back and take it up the ass when their favorite team is being trashed.

Wah Wah Wah.
I give Detroit a lot of credit for what they accomplished this year. They got beat by a better team. I really had not thought about the Pistons until this whine fest started and it brought back the great whine fests of the late 80's about the poor poor Pistons. Instead of bitching about how much they were disrespected, you should be happy that they made it as far as they did. They want to go further, two words-Carmelo Anthony. |

At what point have you seen me "bitching about how much they were disrespected"? I could care less about respect, because I could care less what the majority of NBA fans think. Wins are the only thing that matter, and I understand that. You'll never hear me say anything other than the fact that the Pistons were beaten by the better team. The Pistons future is incredibily bright, and I can't wait to see it unfold.

Qwickshot, does it matter that we didnt sweep the sixers. We still beat them. So y u tryin to trash the Pistons for gettin sweeped. We got beat, o well, Im still not so sure the better team won, but i guess that doesnt matter anymore. I cant help that the refs , (and bill walton) are in love w/ the Nets. But i can say that Detroit's future looks beyond great...with darko and all our young players. Something you cant say qwickshot about ur sixers, you guys cant keep a coach... Throw it down Darko...Throw it doooowwwwn!!!

vtbub, show me where I was whining about being disrespected in this thread? I don't believe I was. I was a little angry about the refs not showing some consistency in their calls but admitted Detroit blew the leads and the refs didn't in games 1 and 2.
And whoever said I'm not happy about how far Detroit went. I'm extremely happy with the way Detroit played this season. 50 wins, a Central title, and an Eastern Conference Finals appearance is very encouraging, especially when we have the #2 pick in the draft coming up. |

Like I said before, the sweep has nothing to do with it. If you want to call atention to yourself by acting like a moron and whining that you have to deal with the consequences.
There wasn't one thread started on the board whining about the Sixers not getting any respect, or whining about them not getting a call. They lost, so what. It's a freakin' game played by people with more money than most, if not all, of us will ever see. This means what to your life? |
