There must have been more stupid mistakes/decisions in this episode alone than in most seasons.

It was funny watching those girls dig in the sand for a container. I'm surprised that no other team stopped to ask them what they were doing. Maybe it's more cutthroat this season as shown by the creepy brother saying, "Let's work together...no fuck it." and "I'll let you know if I get it" to the frat boy.

When are these contestants going to realize a couple things? 1) You only have to beat one other team to stay in the race. It is not life and death to be first in line on a flight. 2) They speak Portuguese in Brazil and not Spanish. :-)

I thought so far the 2 clearly worst teams lost. The guy in the losing couple last night just had no sense of urgency about himself at all.

This is beyond a doubt the most annoying group of teams of any season. There is not one team I genunely like a lot. They all seem like cheaper versions of previous teams on previous seasons. I don't know what was more annoying, the QB wife actually thinking she caused the airline to change planes, her preceeding to tell EVERYONE she did it, or the fact that no one called her out for it...that is except the runner dude who may actually be a girl. In previous seasons there would have at least been some sort of an entertaining fight. There is not one team that I'm actually rooting for at this point.

have to say I'm sorry to see that team go last night if for no other reason than I predicted they would be in the Final 3 when the season began. The divorced women clearly deserved to lose for their stupidity-like making a vow to read the clues completely and carefully, then right after that forgetting to keep their taxi as the clue said.
Right now the nerds and the mom/son are the only ones I've actively rooting for. |

Runner guy is such a wuss, backing down the moment irritating woman's husband talks back to him. If you want to raise your voice to a woman, at least have the balls to stand up to her man too.
Right now, I'm rooting for the geeks. I do like how the pageant girls were all like "We may be slow but we're not stupid!". |

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of geeks suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.
Starr and the Divorcees need to work out that anger.

yes this season is going to be pretty boring now with the geeks gone. The divorcees escape another week they should have been eliminated.

Oh I missed the very beginning-what the heck was all that with the sports bra being thrown over a ledge?

The divorcees accused Starr of throwing one their bras over a ledge when she was cleaning it. This allegedly happened during the first pit stop. Thus, the conflict between those teams.

Too bad about the geeks as I thought they were one of the best teams. The divorcees should have been gone and noone would have cared. They did have the funniest part of the show though when one of them crashed the bike into the curb. That was hilarious.

Did anyone else think the wrestling idea was great? I would've loved to do that Roadblock. Anyhow, it seems as if there's more in-fighting amongst the teams especially at the pit stops this season.
Also, I noticed Starr's brother doing some cheer when they show the teams i the beginning of every episode. I wonder if he's a cheerleader too? |

So, who lost this past week? My local TV station decided to go off the air from 8:40 - 9:15 on Sunday night, so my DVR gave me a blank final 20 minutes of this week's episode.

I figured, since they were pretty much behind the whole way, and it seemed like the editing was trying to make it appear closer than it actually was.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were a whole day behind. But I guess we can let the "CBS controls everything" because they might have held up the frat boys. But, Ty and Aja were pretty far behind to start the day, so I guess they had it coming.

Ha, i made that joke while watching. When the frat boys were trying to get on that flight, when the airplane lady was on the phone I figured she had to call the producers to make sure it was ok they got on the flight. I love the show though. I was actually hoping for a non-elimination leg for Ty and Aja, they seemed to get things together a bit this last ep (which is of course easier when you have like no pressure from being so far behind) |

The frizzy red-haired one must be a liberal arts major because he sure ain't an engineer. He didn't know how to put the sailcars together and he couldn't figure out how to get the gas. This past episode when they were searching for the room, I expected Starr's brother to break out Frommer's. |

One interesting observation this season: has anyone noticed the marked lack of "opens in 12 hours" catch-up points in the middle of a leg? Looks like the catchup points are usually the initial flights of the leg, which is making for a better race than past seasons.

You almost had to feel bad for the divorcee doing the paint thing. Almost.
Terence - Who's My Girl? Sarah - You are. Sarah - Oh I am.

That paint thing was the funniest thing I've ever seen on the show - I loved how these whiny contestants were just getting pelted insanely with paint.

Well thank god the divorcees are gone. That's the fourth clue they misread and they deserved to be gone a long time ago. The frat boys should be right behind them given how badly they play. Loved how Tina and Ken told them where to look for the numbers.

telling Sarah where to look for the clue coz he had a "feeling" and asking her to put her hands into the bird feed (or poo) to find it. |

Hard to believe that Dandrew has managed to stay on this long. Somehow they keep lucking themselves into second-to-last place. They are really bad at the race, yet one team always ends up making a worse decsion (today, it was a greedy bad decision with Terrence and Sarah going for the fast-forward).
I think you have to favor Nick and Starr at this point--they seem to "get it" as far as competition. Ken and Tina I think could rival them if they can get their act together and if the competition doesn't get too physical the steady team of Dallas and his mom could be up there. You have to favor the Frat Boys/Dandrew to go, but at this point, you wonder who will make the bigger mistake than them in the next leg as well. |

Too bad for Sarah. Her partner made a really stupid decision and it cost her the race. They had to figure their chances of beating the frat boys were better than beating Nick and Starr in the fast forward. Terrance is an idiot.

I think this season's teams are the worst ever in Amazing Race history. Here we are in the Final Five and we have two teams misreading clues still and one team not reading the clue and going after a fast forward they never should have gone for. Nick and Starr and Dallas and his Mom are the ones who deserve to win here, I'm hoping bad fortune with a cab/car problems doesn't knock one of them out before the end.
And of course there was the obligatory "lets let everyone catch up doesn't open till next morning holdover" They really should give some kind of time advantage in cases like that to the teams that arrive so many hours before it opens. Loved how Dallas and his mom had fun with the cow challenge instead of bitching like Ken and Tina and the frat boys. |

They've done a good job with keeping this to the start of the legs rather than in the middle, though. I don't mind having everyone start off together at the beginning of a leg; they give prizes as the incentive for first place. Dandrew are only in this thing still because two weeks in a row they've had Tina tell them what to do when they were completely lost.

Although they had Spangler on their shirts before, I didn't realize Nick and Starr's last name was Spangler. They said they were Spanglers when they won the Fast Forward. Starr can't be her real name.

Starr Spangler - Bio Starr loves her sheep ass. I would not have done well at the fast forward. Mystery meat, eating/hurling in front of a couple of strangers (people volunteered for that?) while surrounded by belly dancers. We're a Dandrew elimination away from having 3 pretty good teams in the final. There's probably a non-elim leg next week, so if Starr and Nick or Dallas and mom screw up it'll save them for another leg.

I wouldn't have believed it possible after all the stuff that's happened before - but Dandrew's worst episode ever this week! Losing their shoes? Failing to follow directions for the Nth time? The mind-searing lameness of Dan's attempts to march? Ouch ouch ouch.
