200 Victories for Sean Border
Tuesday, September 6th, 2095: Barons ace Sean Border reeled in his 200th career victory by beating the Ann Arbor Winged Lingerines 7-5 at Ann Arbor Grounds. In his historic win, he notched 2 strikeouts in 7 innings, yielded 3 runs and 8 hits, while surrendering 1 walk.

"I tried to focus on each batter," said Border after the game, "but as the game goes by, I couldn't help but think about the possibility. 200 is a big number. It's a pretty exclusive club and I'm honored to be a member."

During his career Border has compiled a 200-144 record with a 3.75 ERA in 484 starts.

Bedeschi Breezes to Shutout Victory
Saturday, September 17th, 2095: Evaristo Bedeschi was in command in his outing against the Napa Valley Winemakers. He hurled the Tokyo Cyclones to a 4-0 shutout victory, yielded 2 hits and chalked up 4 strikeouts and no walks.

"A complete-game shutout. That's fun territory for me," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I had good balance and mechanics and was able to keep the ball down. When I do that, good things happen."

So far this year Bedeschi has compiled a 15-7 record with a 3.36 ERA.

Tokyo Mulholland Gets the Cycle
Tuesday, September 20th, 2095: There are four types of hits in baseball. It is a rarity for one player to get them all in one game. Paul Mulholland did it -- single, double, triple and a home run -- and sparked Tokyo to a 4-3 win over Noblesville at Sony Park.

"Yeah, I was some kind of hitter in this game. It was like all I had to do was close my eyes and swing the bat. I don't think they could have gotten me out with a bazooka." Those were the words of Paul Mulholland of the Tokyo Cyclones reflecting on his great game against the Noblesville Millers.

He hit for the cycle and is headed for the record books. For the game the Cyclones first baseman banged out 4 hits in 4 at-bats and totaled 1 run batted in and 1 run scored.

Speaking to the press corps about the difficulty of hitting for the cycle, he told them, "A triple is so hard to hit. You hit very few in a year. To hit one in a game when you need it for a cycle, it's impossible to try to do it. If you need a single, you could bunt or do some other things. To hit a triple, usually something weird has to happen, the ball kicking past an outfielder or somebody falling down. It's hard. If you could hit one in the gap every time, you'd be a great hitter. It's a lot of luck to hit for a cycle."

P. Mulholland doubled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off G. Cull in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

Presently Mulholland is batting .273 with 25 home runs and 79 RBIs. He has played in 144 games and scored 79 times.

Georgia 82-79 (m# 1)
Baltimore 81-80

Hartford 2, Colorado 1 (10 innings)
Toronto 10, Chico 3

Brunswick 100-61 (clinched)
Hammersmith 84-78
Toronto 84-78
Hartford 83-78

Hammersmith and Toronto have tied to end the season. Hartford can also join them in a tie with a win in their final game, forcing a three way playoff to decide which team makes the playoff.

Georgia clinches a playoff spot!

Hartford 4, Colorado 3

Hartford ties Toronto and Hammersmith for a three way tie to decide the final playoff spot!

This enters us into a three way playoff scenerio where each team plays a series of 2 games repeatedly until one team comes out on top of the rest. After each round, if one team falls behind the others, they will be eliminated.

Due to team vs team records during the regular season, the following homefield advantages will occur for this three way playoff series:

Hartford has home field advantage vs Toronto
Toronto has homefield advantage vs Hammersmith
Hammersmith has homefield advantage vs Hartford

Gordon Cull who once was a very good pitcher must have some very serious issues going on at home as his ratings plummetted once he hit 30.
