Brady has to be dying to play against this defense.

Dan Dierdorf is to subtlety what a sledgehammer is to a walnut, but he's right on the Denver safety. That was piss poor.

Aaaaaand we just crossed officially into "Denver deserves to lose this game" territory.

Clueless, followed by gutless.

I bet Baltimore scores a td and manning doesn't even get a chance to win it. There is no reason that should not have gone for a drive at the end there

I would say gutless (not letting Manning have a shot on 3rd down coming out of two minute warning), clueless, and gutless.

I'm pretty sure that Easterbrook will have thoughts on this in his next column. Something along the lines of

BAW-BAW-BAWK!

Seriously flacco threw that TD with all of the finesse and beauty of a punt, and denver's secondary couldn't react in time. They can't be looking forward to running back out for this series in OT.

I have Knowshon Moreno in a postseason fantasy league. Was he injured? I missed most of the second half because I needed to take my kid to the doctor.

Agree. What bothers me on those calls isn't so much if they feel it's inconclusive. But when you say things like he had the ball pinned, and the replay shows it spinning, I question what he watched.

I am perfectly happy with that ruling...I was no fan of the zero tolerance era regarding the ball touching the ground.

Dierdorf seems to think we're still there though.

I really don't get Joe Flacco - the disparity between his good/bad performances is just enormous, and if he is capable of those kind of "good" performances then you would have expected to see growth towards softening the bad and more frequently approaching the good over the past couple of years.

You look at what he's done in this game, in the AFC title game last year (both on road), and it is hard to fathom that this guy is such a total boob 6-8 times a year during the regular season.
